Considering the current media push is a reduction of P5 schools into becoming the P4, the timing of this is weird to say the least. Given that, the conference most likely to reach for G5 adds is the greatly reduced PAC12, who would have no interest in schools not in the MWC.

2 B12 teams in FL severely limits the rest of the conference’s chances for recruiting there. Not to mention each would diminish the others media dominance of Central Fl. There’s already 4 P5 teams in Fl, don’t add a 5th. No gain.
