I went to the Palm Beach watch party on Saturday and actually subjected myself and a friend to that debate le. While there I was talking to someone who had inside knowledge about how b poorly our program is run with regards to potential players and recruiting. He was told be a close friend in the athletics program that Dalvin Cook supposedly made his way to UCF to talk to the staff about playing there as it would be closer to his family amongst other reasons. Was basically sat down and waited an hour to be acknowledged and even then it was that someone would be along in a bit to help him. Supposedly he sat for an hour and a half before getting a chance to talk to anyone.

I have also heard rumblings on here previously that GOL isn't so keen on outside people providing names of players that are interested in the program either. It is one thing to say that talent is lacking and that recruiting has been an issue, but it's entirely another issue when the recruiting has shown nothing but regression like 2010. Worton's bro went UF, little Franks has decided on FSU I thought I saw, and Tucker went to Clemson. We should at least be a team that should be hard after these kids from day 1 being siblings of players that you already recruited and coached. They know our name and are familiar with the program. I don't think we ever had a shot at any of those 3.

Pull the band aide off now and it could be a 2-3 year turn around. Wait another year or 2 for him to get it turned around and it could be closer to 10 years before we see a successful team again. Not much else can really be said about the state of the program. This year is shot, we are playing walkons, have very inept coaches, kids who seem to have lost that energy on the field, fans that are quickly turning apathetic. If the brass are not careful, the program will start hemorrhaging money fast, donors reducing or completely abandoning donations, ticket sales plummeting, merchandise sales drying up, and fan support in the eyes of outsiders (read as Big12 brass) dwindling. A change needs to be made, and the important part is announced now. Announce that he is done at the end of the season unless he chooses to step down now instead. I for one am emotionally done with the team until change happens. No more expectations or hope until then.
