Tristan Payton

He needs to talk to Brandon Marshall and Perriman. Isn't the goal to get PT and make millions in the pros

Maybe he should make a play or two before spouting off. From what I've seen so far he wouldn't be anywhere near the field on most teams in college football at this point.

Yes. He has had more chances than any P5 school would give him at this point. He's not exactly a gamebreaker yet. Bet you Pig Howard wishes he picked UCF over Tennessee.

Pig was a big part of Tenns offense since his freshmen year. I was it first hand. So yeah. Firm is right and you're wrong.

You are wrong again. How many receptions did he have his first year??? 13 catches for a whopping big part 54 yards. Now he's not even seeing the field because of relatively minor offense. He's done. Never even got return chances which he would have at UCF.

How much rushing did he have? Yeah. He was and is an important part of their offense when he is out there for almost all downs and they are putting him in motion constantly. But you just read stats instead of watching games like I do.

He's still winning games tho...;)

More and more signs that the coaching staff is losing their players. Players kicked off team, less disciplined on the field, worse performance on the field, current players sounding off in social media, former players sounding off in social media.

This was after a Senior led players meeting. Can the coaching staff keep things together till the end of the season if they do go winless? Much easier to sell a kid on dealing with a winless season when its the 1st season for a coach.

Tristan will be a big time player and in the league one day regardless of if he's at UF or UCF. There is just more excitement and trim at UF now, although I feel the trim here is 10x better.

Did you guys read what he said? I thought it was worse.

It looks like a few guys tweeted him with comments that he should have been a gator - he responded with "where did I go wrong". If a buddy of mind was messing with me I may reply similarly as well. To say he regrets his decision or that he wishes he was a gator is a stretch. He deleted and probably had a bad/frustrating moment. Not a big deal IMO.

With our current situation, can't really blame a kid for feeling that way if he does. Sucks. Doesn't help with recruiting either.

Before all is said and done he's probably going to be a 60-1000yard guy
He needs to chill. This is year 1 of 3 to 4 and he's starting. I would be excited if I was him. Let him shine in the big house (Michigan) next year in front of 110,000 fans and ask him again.

The "where did i go wrong" quote doesnt necessarily mean he regretted his decision. It could be a simple response to defend his choice of selecting UCF...albeit it could be argued his selection of words can be questioned.

I dont get people attacking him personally especially if you support the firing of GOL and most of his staff. You dont know what would happen if he chose Florida instead. Maybe he'll be happy just soaking in the positive vibes thats going on at Florida right now and using that experience as a redshirt for next year. Maybe he might have been a better fit with Coach McIlvane instead. This dark cloud hovering over our program is obviously affecting our players.

Ole Piss was over-rated, they were ranked high because they were dropping 70 on Missouri State Vo-Tech. I predict the Gates stumble this next month as they hit the real pinnacle of their schedule. They've only played one away game, Kentucky a perennial football power house. Hottie Toddy squeaked by Vandy and Bama was in a hibernating coma day-dreaming of bull dogs and sweet Georgia peaches. This Hoorah will soon die down and the state of Florida will be back to normal in a few weeks.

Pig was a HUGE part of UTs offense as a true fresh. I watched every UT game due to family. He doesn't regret it.

I think you must have been watching another player.

Pig Howard's Freshmen stats at UT:

13 catches for just 54 yds (4.3 yds per reception), 1 TD.

His stats improved for his Soph and Junior Seasons:

2013: 44 catches for 388 yds (8.8 yds per reception), 3 TD's

2014: 54 catches for 688 yds (11.4 yds per reception), 1 TD

For Howard's Senior Season....he was suspended for at least the season opener for violation of team rules...then missed a game or two with a concussion...so this year he has just 1 catch for 8 yds.

Pig turned out to be a pretty good college WR (especially short yardage)..but he and his team obviously didn't meet the expectation that so many thought they would.

In almost 3 1/2 years at Tennessee, Pig's team has lost 23 games and played in just 1 bowl game.

DING DING DING!!!

Bottom line is that the grass isn't always greener. Playing time at any level is way underrated. Pig isn't getting any and Tristan will get a ton!!! So will the other freshmen.

You don't get it. Pig Howard was on the field 80% of the time as a true fresh. You're just pulling stats out and making things up. Clearly, you don't watch games.

Pig was playing wildcat QB as a true freshman and started in 3 WR sets for 10 games. Don't comment if you didn't watch the games.

Fresh- played 10 games (started on 3 WR sets and wildcat QB)
Soph- played 11 games (10 starts)
Junior- played 13 games (9 starts)
Senior- hurt

He's playing in the SEC....what 23 games did he miss that you made up?

And Pig was kicked off team today....most likely drugs. Concussion issues, drugs....senior; career most likely over.
Given that he only played 2 games this year and missed the rest for a concussion, could he apply for a medical redshirt and play a year here?
This team needs an offensive line first and foremost, but they also desperately need a deep threat / burner now that speedy and Perriman are gone.

Grab him if we can.

If we can take Patti, we can take him

We missed out on Dee Hart.
