I totally agree. I also hope we can do more to get our WRs more touches. We have so much talent there overall.Happy that Snelson was able to have a good week of practice and take the necessary steps that he needed to to get PT. Took advantage of Payton being out.
Sending Killins on a fly down the middle where he lines up in the backfield was great strategy by Frost on the Killins TD. This way he is covered by a LB or safety, and not a corner which is what happens if he lines up wide or in the slot. There is no way a LB can cover him on a fly. He had a 2-3 step lead on the guy trying to cover him on that TD!
I count 12 by true freshmen:
Snelson 6
Killins 6
Akins 6 (sophomore)
Wright 6 (sophomore)
Yes our pass protection has got to get better. Agreed, it would be great to see Akins get more touches.
The touch Milton put on that ball was perfection. It's easy to overthrow a small receiver like Killins in that situation with a flat ball but he took just a little something off it and some air underneath it and dropped it right in his hands.
Yes., to UConn like in 2014. Oh wait, he has a pass on the 5 picks because it was rainy and windy that day unlike this past SaturdayHolman woulda made an even better pass!
beautiful throw!!! Perfect thread the needle. GENTLEMEN...I think we found a QB! Mini Manzeil!
Thanks for posting. Would be cool to see where we stand nationally. Milton, if he stays healthy, could exceed 20 TDs and 2500 yds (including a bowl). Snelson could feature prominently if defenses continue to try to stop the run and blanket our two primary receivers. Hamilton struggling learning to offense and transitioning to college size, speed, pass blocking, and making cuts. Killins making mistakes on returns, but can't be ignored.
