I'm actually against legalization. I believe it should stay underground. That said ...

Weed wars in Colorado and in other states. Ounces used to be $320, now $99 and dropping hard. The place I go to in Pueblo has ounces for ... $69. Smoke up little bit during vacation. Put the rest discretely in laptop bag for return trip as a 'token' (toking) souvenir. :pimp: Worst they gonna do at DIA is make you dump it out.

I’d be careful with that if you’re checking any other luggage. Every once in awhile TSA has dogs in the baggage return area.

Dogs are trained to sniff bombs, not weed. I've researched this extensively. Also, my souveneer is discreetly stowed away and not stinking.

Think about it - laptop bag is the best. Cables, chargers, papers, maybe a magazine or two, pens, pencils and so on. Throw in some food and candy bars. When you've got 100 items, it's some nice camoflage.

At DIA, the TSA does not care about weed. They have found 29 people since 2015 out of millions, and those folks were probably very sloppy in their concealment.

Just don't have any metal in the bag. No search. No problemo. 29 in 15M chance If found, play dumb. On your way.

Not entirely true. You’re looking at the outbound part; I’m talking about at your destination. If it’s a customs dog they are bringing through for whatever reason, or if OPD brings a drug dog, you’re hosed. And since you just transported across state lines, you could be up for a big charge. Is it really worth it?

Good move turning this over to the states, hopefully all 50 of them allow this liberty instead of infringing on our rights.

I generally agree, but there is one issue. With the decriminalization in Colorado, we have had a lot of sheriff's departments in Nebraska having serious financial issues from stops on the highways and interstate that lead to drug busts. I live about 4 hours from Colorado in a town right on the interstate and it's a weekly occurance to have another major drug bust. Last week they stopped someone with a million dollars worth of marijuana. Then local sheriff's department is then responsible for the costs involved in processing, prosecuting, and often times providing a defender for these people. If it were up to me it would be legal in all 50 states but I guess I really don't care what they do in states that I don't live in, so whatever, but it would be nice to have some uniformity or at least a criminal justice system agreement between states.

As an aside, how stupid do you have to be to transport a million dollars worth of any drug and then not follow the speed limit, or make sure your break lights are working? Or my personal favorite: last Christmas a 75 year old couple was stopped in my county and they had over 50 grand in pot. They said it was for Christmas presents for their kids. They posted bail and, then skipped their hearing, and 3 weeks later were pulled over in the same county coming back and had 50 grand in cash on them.

This, along with wiping the record of anyone guilty of non-violent crimes, especially drug related possession.

Dude - it's a fallacy about the dogs, in fact they are now training them to ignore, or they would be stopping at the wreek of half the people there. Don't get all paranoid. Hide in plain sight. I've never been sniffed out in line EVER.

Of the 54 million passengers who went through Denver International Airport in 2015, the T.S.A. stopped just 29 for possession of marijuana, an airport spokesman, Heath Montgomery, said. In those cases, as long as the amount was legal for personal possession in Colorado — one ounce of dried flower, for example — the local police simply asked the flier to dispose of it, either by throwing it in the trash or taking it home. All 29 complied, and no tickets were issued.

T.S.A. agents with dogs that are sniffing people in line by security checkpoints are looking for explosives, not marijuana.

Read my last post again. You may be right about TSA, that organization is smoke and mirrors anyways. But they aren’t the only LE agency that will work the airports. And you’re betting a lot on a really stupid thing. Of course the chance is remote, but why take it at all?
