Ok, ladies and gentlemen, here are some more UCF Scoreboard pictures taken around 10:00 am this morning.
Additionally, I am including some Classic UCF Sports pictures. I will also include some more Classic pictures later in the day when I wake up from a nap...lol...
Tuesday August 30
It is overcast at UCF today. Hope they can work between showers...
Enjoy the following UCF Sports pictures:
The more you look at this picture the more interesting it is:
First off you see Don Coble who was writing for the Florida Times Union, a newspaper on the East Coast of Florida, interviewing our center Craig Marsden. This was during practice... In the background is Coach Gene McDowell. Coach McDowell always let his coaches coach during practices. Said he was quality control from where he watched practices. Prior to going on the field and after practices he would critique the coaches.
Standing to the right of Coach McDowell was our strength and conditioning coach and media guru Dana Martin.
Shown below is a picture of our players getting cooled off. Coach McDowell was big on having the players stay hydrated.
#25 in the picture is running back Perry Balasis, who is now coaching in high school. Perry has one of the greatest UCF achievements in football. He was a 4 year starter at running back and he never fumbled in his entire 4 year career. That is amazing!!!
Shown below is a former UCF Basketball Coach Joe Dean Jr.
Very aggressive coach, very friendly, but got out of coaching at a young age.
UCF played at North Carolina one year when Coach Dean was here. At the time a group of us went up for that game. What an experience. First off the North Carolina basketball arena seats 22,000 people. They have so many banners hanging everywhere you can barely see any walls or the ceiling. At the time Dean Smith was still coaching there. Before the game our Coach Dean called me over to take a picture of him and Coach Dean Smith. I took the picture and subsequently Coach Dean had it blown up and framed where it sat on his desk.
The last picture for now is a former UCF President Steve Altman. One of the things I have always enjoyed about UCF is how easy it is to get to meet our leadership and learn about all the positives going on with our University.
Time for a nap...lol...When I get up I will post a few more pictures later on today.
Have fun,
Kevin
