So, I watched pretty much the whole game of Tulane @Tulsa. Tulane looks pretty good but I think UCF can beat them.

their RB and Qb are really good. The offense looks efficient and a lot like UCF offense. I like that both teams will be ranked in the top 25.

It's weird getting my brain around Tulane being ranked higher though. Not use to that! I'd be curious to see who vegas favors.

Here is a local NOLA article that explains a lot of their players

UCF vs. Tulane Game Odds

  • Spread: Tulane -2 (-110), UCF +2 (-105)
  • Moneyline: Tulane -135, UCF +115
  • Total: Over/Under 51.5 (-104/-110)

Another screwball is possible Hurricane Nicole coming into South Florida early Thursday morning. Travel for UCF may be screwed up.

Other Tulane stats:
Total Defense 17th: 307 YPG
Rushing Defense 40th: 127 YPG
Passing Defense 17th: 180 YPG

Total Offense: 48th: 418 YPG
Running Offense 47th: 180 YPG
Passing Offense 66th: 238 YPG

Our rushing defense has been doing better the last two games and since Tulane is a run heavy offense this may help us out because our secondary has been suspect.

didn’t realize they lost to Southern Miss …assumed the L was to some SEC team OOC
They lost, but seemed to be more fluky. Tulane outgained them 451-253, had twice as many first downs. But a 4th quarter tipped pick 6 made the difference.

They also missed two FGs, their kicker was 50% on the season. They switched kickers and the new one is 83% on the season.

It is going to take a lot of points to beat Tulane. UCF has many defensive starters either injured or going through concussion protocols. The safe best is the Over.

Yup who would have thought Tulane would be the big game. before the start of the season I agreed with my wife rsvp to a celebration on Saturday Nov 12. I looked at the calendar and reported to my wife UCF plays Tulane that week I'm good. Eating them words NOW. we all make bad choices sometimes. I hope I can catch the second half.

People who have weddings during cfb season are the literal worst.

I remember being at a wedding during the “Let’s go Bone” 1 pt win Memphis game, where KZ leaped into the end zone getting hit head over heals. Had my phone propped up at my table with a crowd of ppl around watching, cheering. What a game that was, didn’t look good for a while. High fives and UF/FSU haters all around, that’s when UCF was still wildly hated by all…forward thinking needed when planning a wedding. I got married in Jupiter in late June, hot as hell but was mostly inside and totally worth it!

They also had a punt blocked that set up a short field for southern miss. Definitely a deceiving outcome. Still a winnable game.

Congrats! Jupiter has a great beach

I got married when we had a game on a Thursday, booya!

I do agree with the above posts, our rush defense may keep us in this game. Hopefully we can get some turnovers or at least get them behind the sticks for 3rd and longs.

One thing that concerns me is looking the their QB's stats it looks like he improved considerably this year, completing 2/3 passes. So even though they like to run it, they can definitely pass on us. We are going to need a defensive performance like we had against Cincinnati, which we just haven't seen on the road yet.

Kansas St and ECU are the big wins. We played Memphis similarly. They squeaked by Houston and only beat the Cows by 14, a team that Temple stomped. With UCF they start the toughest 3-game stretch of their season. This is definitely winnable and if we do I have to believe we're going to the CCG. My main concern is now JJB. I love Kam Moore as a Freshman and Jason Johnson has been a stud but I feel like we have to have JJB.
