Where is Warren when I really need her? I got a smoker last year for Jimmy Buffets birthday and I love smoking stuff. my first 8 -9 pound brisket flat costs me around $54 back in January. I smoked an 8 pounder a few months ago and it was $110 at Publix . Chicken wings, you know , the food for a poor. I could get a family pack of wings for around $12 . Now those same wings are $19.

Here is the thing . The damage is done. They pumped into way too much money in the name of COVID relief , paid people not work by that sweet $600 a week bonus plus full unemployment equal to your check and told landlords your tenants don't have to pay. Then they shut down pipelines . Its a perfect storm for inflation. TOO MANY DOLLARS CHASING TOO FEW GOODS. Energy my friends ,cheap energy, is the backbone to our economy . when we drive up those costs it filters through to everything. every product you buy is touched by higher fuel costs and those costs are passed along to you and I.

So Warren hosed us over a year ago now and we are all paying for it. We will continue to pay for it. They need to reverse the pipeline executive order among others . Its going to take time for the system to level out. Fortunately the leftist nuts are going to get punched bad in the 2022 mid terms because of this and their authoritarian COVID edicts.

its all good he drives a Tesla gets free electricity and is a vegan so none of those things effect him. They only impact the little people, little people like you and I . I just got notice a line of jerky I carry that wholesale price come December 1 is going up 8% . it will translate into about 4% retail price increase to the consumer . Good thing everyone's portfolio is rocking it.

Yeah, it's been tough with the COVID and all. I get to clean gutters this week and maybe the old Dodge will start up ,but hey I am lucky the hole in the double wide floor is fixed. Got me some carpet from the dumpster and some plastic and fixed it up real nice 👍. I think for Turkey day though we are going to pass and eat us some good pilgrim dogs from the IGA maybe even get some instant mashed taters .

One thing I know is I get more exercise now because I can only buy gas every other week . So, my health is improving and I don't buy smokes as much cause I don't go to the gas station all the time . Inflation is fun because it reminds me the good ole days back in 18 when things were better . I does love me some turkey though and gravy . Maybe next year . I can come over UCFMikes and wash your car or clean your gutters for some turkey leg or something.

UCFMikes, in all seriousness I own a business. I employ people and the jerky is something I buy to sell to folks. I was making an observation about wholesale costs increasing .

As far as turkeys go , I would be smoking one on my kick ass smoker but I am driving to Florida to visit my brother and my son, a UCF Marching Knight because he can't get home and back in time for band practice early Friday morning. My brother and I are going to deep fry 3 turkeys on Thursday for a big feast. We will inject them with creole butter . The plan is to give one to my son's tenor sax section for the kids who couldn't get home .

I am not complaining about turkey but I am noticing how expensive poultry and meet are getting. When I get back Ito NC plan to smoke a brisket . It will be about $100 for the cut . It will be yummy .

Dude , did you ever see Giligsns island , well I am like Gilligan but smarter almost professor like .
yes on the degree plus another degree in environmental planning and resource management. Spent about 14 years doing that work. Was a consultant . I invested in vacation real estate in the Smokies . My second kid got meningitis ,it destroyed his occipital lobe nearly killing him at 24 days old. I quit my career , took a second out on a rental property and bought a business in the mountains in 2006. on the side I dabble in immunology , hand modeling and stuff. My kid is now 23 and because I call the own shots in my life he will never see the inside of a group home . I get to take him to work with me . I am taking him to the game Friday .it's been 12 years since he last went to a UCF game . he will get to hear his younger brother play in the MKs. Looking forward to it .

Good thing we got us a pandemic because I was wondering if my immunology stuff was ever going to pay off. Thanks to this forum and friends such as yourself boy has it ! When I go to UCF games I mostly stay at the Fairfield Inn on University where I will be tomorrow night. however, I do stay in holiday in expresses and that's been a boon to my immunology expertise .
