What is your preference for having a tv in the bedroom? Did it change once you had kids, got married etc. Thoughts on TV in master, guest room kids room etc.

Discuss.

I haven't had a tv in the master bedroom for about 2 years now and I don't think I will ever go back. We have one in the family room and another in a converted bedroom into a "movie/game/sports viewing room"... unsure about t.v. in the kids room yet or atleast until a certain age as i had one in my room when I was growing up from about 12 on.

I am only 60. Have no time for a TV in bedroom. will save that hobby for when I retire.

We have one in the bedroom but it isn't used all that frequently. Mainly in the morning when effer is getting ready for work, or occasionally before bed to watch a movie or something. I prefer watching in the living room that is set up for it. I don't think our kids will ever have on in their bed rooms, perhaps if they have a play area or something.

With 2 little girls running around my wife goes to bed around 10, I watch tv in bed for an hour or so every night

The girlfriend likes to pretend we are making little Huffys with the porn on every once in awhile. So yeah, TV in the bed room

No TVs for the kids? I can't imagine not having a TV in my room. I think I had one as early as 7.

However, kids now use their devices for everything ( I think I read a survey that stated ppl under the age of 22 watch more than 70 percent of their video entertainment on non TVs ). . Not having a TV in their room means nothing.

I had a t.v. in my bedroom as a child once I turned 8. I didn't get to watch it whenever I wanted, but it was there. I would never, under any circumstances allow my children to have a t.v. in their bedroom. At least not until they're some [arbitrary] age like 16. My wife and I have a t.v. in our bedroom and, in addition to barrister's comment above, my wife or I watch when one of us wants to watch something different or if a football/hockey game is going late and we also feel like going to bed.

I didn't have a TV in my room until I went to college. My parents didn't even have cable run to the bedrooms when they built their houses.

Yes. I dont know how this is a question for sports fans. If there is a late night game on that i read on twitter is coming down to an exciting ending or if it is just a game I have been watching but its getting late ... what better than to catch the end while comfy and in bed?

When I was a kid we had one TV, the size of a Buick with a 10 inch black and white screen. I Sure as hell didn't want that monster in my 8 by 9 bedroom.

I was against a TV in our bedroom for the longest time. About 2 years ago we put one in the bedroom and it's awesome. When our son sleeps with us it's nice and when football it's on it's even nicer.
