UCF AD: Knights can 'elevate' Big 12 if invited to join conference

Thank God "there's been no "formal partnership" to pitch the Big 12 as an expansion tandem" with usf. It would be great to leave them behind, but if we both go then that's ok too, just don't sell it as a duo. It's hard enough to try to buy into 1 position, let alone being stupid and trying to buy 2 spots.

Why would we tie ourselves to a boat anchor?
I think you're 100% correct. No need to pitch a tandem, if the Big12 see's it on their own, fine. The second you start talking about the value the two bring to the table together, you start devaluing what UCF brings all by itself.

I'm glad that things are moving slowly actually. The football program has a chance to put 0-12 behind them, and we can start increasing our attendance with the new excitement that Frost brings to the program and getting the fans back that GOL turned off.

Danny White is expecting sellouts for the first 2 games and eventually needing to expand the stadium to 65,000 in an offseason.
I thought it was 60,000, so that's cool to hear that.

I heard the bianchi/DeeWhite interview this morning. Last question he mentioned bring duh*bulls along with us. I have mixed emotions about that. But, it can be a pretty good rivalry and solidify the Central Florida I-4 corridor. <-- just stating the obvious.

this should be used more often, especially with options like Cincy and USF wanting in

"Orlando is also the largest city in America without an NFL team.

"We think our market on the college athletics stage is as good as any in the country."
Yes, history has shown that large cites without a pro franchise often have large attendance figures and a big following for minor league and college teams.

Well at least we are classy enough to not actively politic AGAINST the UWCF joining us in a new conference unlike what the UWCF administration and coaching staff did to us during the Big East expansion/recovery days. If it weren't for their mistep the Big East might have faired a bit better.

Oh, and they did the same thing when we petitioned for our medical school too. They actively fought against it in the Florida government. Silly cows.

Just wondering. Isn't Columbus, Ohio bigger than Orlando??

I couldn't agree more. As fun as it would be to actively work to keep them down in the dump, we don't actually need to, we're not scared of them and 2 then you'd be just like them (cliche but true). If we go together, we go, if not GREAT and so deserved.
