I heard the starting first baseman (Romano? I think) suffered a significant lower leg injury against Bethune Cookman a few games ago? I know baseball doesn’t do a lot of media/press conferences, but has anyone heard anything about him?

Well UNF just took the series from us last weekend. We're 11-5 now, .688 I think. I wonder if this is where (well, the you know what starts) :)

College baseball is extremely competitive this year across the country. Nobody is immune with most rosters having 10-15 players ages 23-24. The UNF pitcher Friday night was two months short of 25 yrs old. That wasn’t a factor prior to 2020 and will change after this year when NCAA re institutes mandated 35 man rosters. But this year you have seen top 10 programs lose to many low and mid majors. The game is different right now. Those 23 & 24 yr olds wouldn’t be in college and on rosters just three yrs ago. This may be the most competitive season ever so the key is win the conference and get the bid. UCF has two of the top pitchers in the nation in Staine and Patteson. And they are pitching great but so are other programs. Just have to keep grinding out wins.
