UCF Baseball lands second to last place in the BIG 12 standings

So, in the Big XII this year:
Football 2nd to last
Baseball 2nd to last
Men's Basketball 3rd to last

Volleyball 2nd to last
Women's basketball 4th to last
Soccer 4th to last

Thank goodness for women's tennis and rowing. TM you're a real Ace.

They have very talented players, but make mistakes and blow leads at the end of the big games. Umpires in the Big 12 were not the best either, especially against potential NCAA tournament teams. It was similar to basketball. However, they still had many opportunities to win the big games, but they just couldn't finish.

Wow….so we are blaming some of the team shortcomings on the refs?? Time for all coaches and administrators to step up…the orientation to the Big(time) 12 is over!!! Time to start producing like Women’s Golf & tennis , rowing, softball and Men’s tennis have done!! Charge On!!

I am not blaming the umpires or refs. for the entire debacle, but they didn't help the problem. Mentally tough athletes can overcome that type of stuff. They are a small percentage of the problem. The problem is not dealing with adversity and pressure. I saw that in football, basketball and baseball. Football was also lack of preparation and effort. The exception to this was the basketball team in The Crown. They seemed motivated.

Of all the new teams, UCF and Utah seem to be having the most trouble adapting to the Big 12. BYU seems to have made a good adjustment. We should look at what they are doing.

I agree on that, especially in the Big 12. Maybe the teams do better next year. Maybe either baseball or basketball makes NCAA tournament and Football at least makes a minor bowl game. That's what I am hoping for. If the teams don't start winning, eventually ticket sales will drop leading to even less money for UCF athletics. I don't want to see us out of the power conferences. Look what happened to USF, Temple, Washington St., Oregon St., and UCONN.

UConn basketball won back to back national championships, UConn Baseball is heading towards their 7th straight NCAA tournament appearance, 2 times making Super Regionals, and their football team won 9 games last season with a bowl win over UNC.

Should we be worried about getting kicked out of the Big12 at this point?

I guess UCONN has done better without being in a power conference. They do get some Big East basketball money along with lots of athletic fees from students. Maybe we can surpass them when we get full big 12 share
