Season is only a couple of weeks away, practice just started, and there's not a lot of talk about it anywhere. Why is that? As great as the beginning of 2015 was, the rest of it was such a letdown. What does everyone think about our chances this year? Go Knights!

bc the entire athletics program is a dumpster fire right now outside of future hope for Football under a new coach.

Danny White will clean up the Canadian ADs apathy

First major weekend test for the program won't happen till the series at Rice in early March.

While UCF does have 2 midweek games vs UF just before Rice series...those games will probably not have any weekend starters from either team throwing in them so even those games are hard to get a read on a team.

For complete schedule, see link. (You don't need to see the schedule to know that UCF is opening up the season against its "sister school" Siena, the small Catholic School from Albany, NY as the team is talking their annual mid Feb Defrost trip to Orlando as usual.)

Rooney is not the man. Last year was terrible. We don't have enough division 1 sized pitchers and we don't have the hitters. Excited to see the Knights play and college baseball but.....heading into the season a little bit leery.

Because Rooney is garbage. He was brought here because of his recruiting prowess, yet continues to bring in unimpressive classes. What was our class ranked this past year, in the 70's? That's embarrassing for a team in the middle of Florida. Especially when there are no P-5, G-5 type of scenarios.

I made a thread about baseball preseason projections 3 weeks ago. Where were you?

I don't know what to expect from baseball this year bc nobody responded to that thread too. :flush:

No thing is for certain, not too many are excited about this season.

I saw that thread and the conversation turned into stadium issues. Seems like no one wants to talk about what's on the field this year. I get that a lot of you are down on Rooney, but if that really stops you from talking about and supporting UCF baseball, grow up.

THIS....I think ACE nailed it.

Well, he had multiple Top 20 classes in the past...how did that do? (Baseball recruiting rankings are not too accurate overall).

Last year's upperclassmen dominated roster couldn't get it done...out with the old...in with the new and hope for the best.
