UCF Football: HC Scott Frost Recaps Spring 2025 (April 19)

My take:

1) The Good. Coach Frost looks MUCH more relaxed and confident than he did at Nebraska. It's a 'what if' game, but you can't help but wonder where UCF would be today if he'd avoided temptation and remained with UCF in 2018 and remained the HC here..
2) The Bad. When he mentions his QB room, his WR room and safties being 'the most inexperienced,' that's a hard pill to swallow if you're a UCF fan who is familiar with Frost's style. This season could be tough.
3) S&G. The focus on S&G is a very good thing. It may not show up on the scoreboard this fall, but increased physical toughness will pay dividends for them in the Big XII down the road.
4) Patience. I came away from this presser with a feeling that Coach Frost 'has his act together' and has the right philosophy, the right culture, and the right ideas about recruiting to bring the Knight program back to prominance. But--it ain't gonna happen overnight. It's never been a popular word, but fan PATIENCE is going to be the key to turning things around. Malzahn lost the fanbase pretty early on. The program can't afford for fans to do the same thing with this coach.
