This past year I have been out of country working on my teaching career in a new start up private school. I have met some kids and all of their goal is simple: try to come to the States and get an American Degree and Education. Their parents spent lots of money to get to the private school alone. I had many American Co-workers there. This leads me to the thinking of what UCF can do.

Coincidently, before I've ever heard about the UCF foundation. I actually self-creative the name or organization of the same thing. But I thought of it differently.

What is UCF mission? That leads me to a lot of thinking.

I've my personal experiences. But to me, UCF stands for a lot of opportunity for everyone of us. I was a first time college failure. But I got back up finished my community college degree and came to UCF again. I stood where I fall. UCF stands for an American Dream. UCF stands for everyone of us no matter where we from, what color of skin color or how rich or poor family we from. Once we came to this school, every one has the same mission to accomplish.

Back to China, how many kids working so hard just to get to college? How many kids in the States growing up in an abusive family just to get out of the cycle of destiny and fate striked upon them? How many unfortunate kids growing with disabilities couldn't cope of the realest of LIFE? How many kids from country filled with Hate and War but dying to get help? etc

We are fortunate. We grew up have iPhones and Cars. Could go out on a Friday night with Girlfriend to watch Hollywood Blockbuster movie. We could turn on TV weekend waiting for our favorite show of Vikings. We could have a summer retreat in North Carolina hanging out with cool girls and boys just to have fun.
We are fortunate.

But at UCF, maybe, hmm, I am thinking more...

Maybe UCF foundation could impact more lives more than UCFers. UCF family is growing bigger and bigger. Maybe we could use our influence and power to impact the lives of the needed. That to me is the UCF mission.

Maybe we can get provide scholarship or donation to the excellent and most needed students in lower grades so that they can finish the school. Maybe we can open up an UCF scholarship to provide incremental help to excellent and high achieving students that want to be successful in this world.

Maybe Lisa wants to be a Fashion Designer. Once she got here and eligible to receive UCF Scholarship She can go to a Committee of scholars to present her plans in college and Freshman goals. Second year, go to the committee again and demonstrate what she did and second year plan. Once that passed, incremental increase in Scholarship or needed help provided, maybe set up a email contact in the business to just give her a get-in-the-water words or ideas. Third or Fourth year, set up an Internship or arrange one of the business industry leader to be her one on one mentor. Graduate? Guide Job offers and help her on a career decision.

It would take a lot of resource and contact. But trust me, this enlarged, personal committee would be worth the investment UCF is going to expand. Plus they could be doing part time or counseling work at UCF. Maybe UCF nation is that big, hum ha?

To me, as a recent college graduate. I feel like this sort of guidance and help would really do wonders to my work career. So I understand from a Student's Point of View and experience of what they really needed.

We are investing the future. To build an Army of next generation of world's leaders, innovators and business man in every field. We are not just investing in UCF future. We are building an Empire of Earth's tomorrow. Just imagine Bill Gates a UCF alumi, Steve Jobs, Facebook founder, Nike Founder, Cocacola all those CEOs all graduated from UCF? WOO! This is what UCF is made to do.

More than that, we are changing the world. We made leaders of tomorrow of every where going back to the homeland and be the leaders in other countries. And UCF changed the world!

We can help the unfortunate people from the world or US to get an Education and provide their needed help thru network. Best qualified students are not always necessarily the best students. They may be slow on some area but they may be the most hardworking students in the world while providing for the sisters and brothers in the family. They are the most deserving students and life changing of others students.

I know this all sounds like a Dream or Hypothetically a "crazy" man's idea. BUT haha, A Knight fan certainly know how to dream, hum ha?

One more exciting thing I think UCFers could do is UCF Town Hall...

When UCF nation is getting bigger and bigger, why not unite all the alumni and parents plus administrators etc set up an Annual Celebration or Assembly type of thing in New York City or Chicago or somewhere like that. Five star hotel, best event organizer, best logistic staff in the world.

Lots of things could happen:
1. Business networking event in different sectors
2. Industry workshop in guiding start up alumni or students
3. Providing students cheap low air fare and hotel stay so they can join this gathering to gain some experience in the real world
4. Annual Athletic presentation of detailed inside information on competing teams in American plus athletic donation opportunities for interested parties
5. Annual Statement of UCF presented by UCF president, chair, alumni and Athletic Director
6. Charity event organized and lead by UCF foundation
etc

All the costs and expense will be self covered by the event organizer itself, UCF foundation, and all the interested parties will apply and be invited by UCF foundation. The objective is simple: try not to lose money

Just some crazy idea from Mr. Knightrogen...
