UCF has had quite an adventure since its first FBS campaign in 1996.

That's one of the best things about being a UCF Fan...as many of us have seen the first steps/first historical events that most fans of other teams can only read about in books.

Some have been fortunate to have watched UCF's move from Day 1/Division III to back-to-back conf titles in AAC.

Myself and a few others didn't get to follow UCF at the Div III level but I've followed UCF since:

Division II
Division I-AA
Div I-A Independent
MAC Football
CUSA Football & Basketball (first time ever UCF Football and Basketball were in the same conf)
AAC Football & Basketball

Can't believe UCF will be starting its 20th season in I-A...as just getting to I-A (let alone going to bowl games, winning conf titles, playing AND winning a BCS Bowl games were just fairy tale dreams).

Its been a great ride...something many of my friends who went to schools that have been playing football for 100 plus years were never able to enjoy so many historical firsts from almost the very beginning.

I started going to games in 1985. I forget what div we were in, but the games were super fun back then. It is neat to see the growth and be apart of it. Go Knights!!!

Div II...as UCF moved up to Div I-AA in 1990.

Best part about games back in the 80's...believe all were Saturday Night games at 7 pm (outside of any homecoming concert game).

Sloan's worst decision ever as the AD was him moving UCF kickoff times to 1 pm when UCF jumped up to Div I-AA...and UCF's attendance basically dropped in HALF.

Not sure about the attendance claim, last time I checked (which was probably almost a decade ago) UCF held attendance records in 1-AA.

I'll never get tired of watching that ECU hail mary video.

All I remember was shouting: "He caught it! He caught it! He caught it" over and over and over again.

Afterwards, its funny to see an ECU player #39 unstrapping his helmet to celebrate ECU's expected win.

The other 2 ECU defenders mis-read the flight of the ball...because if you watch the replay...Perriman's last second decision to continue this route as the ball was traveling a lot further ...while ECU defenders stopped and jumped.
