UCF hires Danny White for AD from Buffalo

As a whole he will do great in generating revenue and also branding our name which we been battling for years (C. Florida vs UCF). I just hope he gets fans, students, and alums more engaged in UCF athletics.

I also he hope he is not a fan of weekday games either!! :sunglasses:

I think we're at the mercy of the AAC and ESPN on those. Don't worry though, after this season, ESPN won't be pulling any strings to put us on primetime weekday games.

We went from the prospect of a full time 70 year old surly GOL as AD to an young, energetic, and engaging 35 year old. Certainly what UCF athletics needs at this moment. Generate more revenue, build a more exciting brand, and demand competitive programs across the board. Let's go get us a winning football coach.

got a good laugh reading a few reactions from Buffalo fans. Somehow questioning to go to a place with a 'terrible Football Program'. See 2013, it's called having a much higher ceiling

Under White, Buffalo has seen major improvements to its facilities, including an upgraded football center in 2013 and a face-lift to the basketball facilities for the men's and women's teams.

"My goals include building on our outstanding academic accomplishments and making UCF a national leader known for competitive excellence," White said in a statement. "We will become one of the nation's premier destinations for coaches and student-athletes, and we will excite our student body, staff and faculty, alumni and the central Florida community."

Is nepotism not illegal in college athletics hiring? I may be alittle upset that they didn't consult with me before the hire. The communication about this hire with regards to Danny's family background is appalling.

This reminds me a little of the Donnie Jones hiring. Young guy great ideas. What we hope for is that he does such a great job that he uses us as a stepping stone to a bigger AD job. Unfortunately Donnie has not been able to use that leverage
