I think UCF's offense will be more balanced tonight with hopefully more HIGH post passes to Tacko near hoop (not at his waist or knees) to get him more involved in the offense.

Not sure if BJ will play tonight or not...as UCF might keep him off the court as UCF doesn't have another game till next Sat...so he could continue to rest till then.

Here's the UCF preview:

I think I heard BJ will be out for an additional 2 weeks.

I was very impressed last week by the entire UCF band showing up to the home opener vs UC Irving. Their presence brought a lot of energy to the game.

Thanks for the reminder. Yes, Marc Daniels during last game's broadcast said BJ will miss up to two weeks. Injured. Forget which injury he said. but. out.

ESPN3...break the streak!

"THE DREADED STREAK
- The Knights have lost seven consecutive games dating back to last season. UCF’s last win was Feb. 19 at Tulane, 69-55.
- UCF is 0-2 to open a season for the first time since 2000-01 when they lost to Georgetown and Duquesne in their first two games."

Nice win. Tacko is the real deal. Program changer. AJ Davis is going to be our MVP. Still 4/8 from the FT line..."turrible". That's got to improve.

Shaheed Davis had the hot hand tonight. It was nice to see after last games shooting performance. It looks like he has grown alot from last season. Go Knights!

I think when we get BJ back, the team will be even better. We seem to be much more physical than last year too.

Whatever clicked the last 5 mins needs to click the rest of the season. Our defense played lights out for that stretch. We seemed to pass the ball more fluid and found open looks and got Mcbride good looks in the post.

Our team has the ability to be scary good with BJ at 100%. Tacko definitely will develop into a star player. For all the ucf fans talking trash about him being a stiff need to eat crow.

LOL. He was out rebounded by a guard tonight. I will be happy to eat crow when he drops 20 and 15 against UCONN or Memphis and leads is to victory. Until then, y'all need to stfu and quit anointing him the savior of UCF bball 3 games into his career.

He still needs to learn the game. Let him do that.

I'm not fully disagreeing. I think it is very early to talk about him being a program changer, but for being that tall and with minimal bball experience, you can't help but be excited.

That being said he played at least 10 minutes less then the guards that out rebounded him.

Yes he has a lot to learn and he is still learning the game. The crazy thing is that he is already changing the game. He is 7'6 and can move well for his size.

The coach and team feels that he is a game changer and that's why he has started the first 3 games of the season, despite missing many practices before the first game...as a freshman! I don't know who called him the savior and I don't know who is calling him a stiff. He's neither but somewhere in between.

He certainly isn't a stiff because he is starting ahead of a returning, productive, solid- starting senior (Blair). He out played an older more mature 7'6 player. Every time he goes in you feel the momentum shift towards us. He is changing the game that we play as a true freshman! He's not the savior, there's only one of those, but he's more than a game changer....he is and will be a program changer.

I'm a fan of Tacko Fall. Some things he needs to learn is to not dribble when he has the ball near the rim, just go up with it. Also, more patience on the free throw line. Overall though I'm pleased. He already has been a game changer due just the publicity. Now that we can see him play I think he is a game changer. Yes, tougher competition coming so buckle up!

I asked you this before and you didn't answer. So, again, have you ever actually seen him play?

He has even done stuff that will not show up in the stats sheets like the opposing team not willing to take it inside and force outside 3's. We are going to win the tipoff 90% of the time if not higher. He was a guy that a few mentioned wouldn't even see the court and was a waste. He just got 12 points in only 19 mins with 6 rebounds. Not bad numbers for his 3rd college game and only a few years of organized hoops. You can clearly see why schools like Georgetown wanted him. I guess people are not willing to eat crow. I guess it is easier to be a douche to our players.

Highlights and some post-game interview comments.

Great win and a fun time was had at the arena...especially during the last 5 mins of the game...arena got LOUD!! (Even without many students in the building...props to the few that showed up).

NOTE: Glad UCF ran some offensive plays for Tacko...as he needs the experience (even rolled to his left), something that will improve with more PT. Remember, he has played just 3 years of organized basketball...while most of his teammates have been playing since they were probably 6 or 7 years old.
