I’m starting to question Dawkins coaching. I know this is more on the players but come one man..
I am right there with you LAW! I have to vent! I mean what a piss poor job of coaching and playing (not sure which comes first). Dawkins has zero compassion and keeps saying, WE NEED TO DO THIS and WE NEED TO DO THAT....but it never happens. The players seem like they're on their own out there playing pickup ball. Dawkins is emotionless and without passion (reminds me of Randy Shannon). Johnny's little whispers to the referees making HORRIBLE calls last knight (yeah that's not working). The refs know they can get away with whatever they want with Johnny Dawkins! (Donnie Jones comes to mind here). And the mistakes by the players just leads me to believe that whoever is steering this ship doesn't know wtf they're doing! WE WERE OUTCOACHED AND OUT PLAYED LAST KNIGHT! Temple wanted it! Their players were fired up and motivated. Our players seem to just mope around with no real sense of urgency or organization. Temple seemed too strong for us to handle. Reynolds seems to have regressed. Adams is not panning out. Ugh! DEFENSE....turrible!

Add to that no enthusiasm, fight or BBall IQ....very disappointing loss at home. Johnny has too much talent on this team to lose games like this at home. He needs to step it up or he'll lose this team.
Our player's basketball I.Q. was very low last knight which brings me back around to coaching. OK Johnny you're a legend and stuff but start doing your job.!! Also, the jump shot is gone. It's either a layup, dunk, or 3 pointer.

The endings of the last 2 games have been terrible. Great teams figure out a way to win and close out games. This team has tons of talent. Right now, they are playing way below their potential.

The jump ball at end was terrible. Freemen was in standing fetal position and the player reached in. It’s impossible to get a share of ball on a reach in without touching the player in that position.

The ball should have been in the hands of a legitimate ball handler. Dawkins has 2 PG's on this team and another who appears to be on the way out but it wasn't. Why not? If someone else gets the ball they need to get it to a PG immediately. It's all about having the team prepared for a situation like this and we didn't look prepared last night (in multiple situations).

They were trapping Full Court on inbound and trapped Mahan. He broke through and passed to Freeman to avoid 10 seconds. It was a bad jump ball call.
