On Saturday, I stopped by the Altamonte Mall.
Dillards for several years has carried the full Nike lines for Florida and Florida State. Yes, they received racks of the new 2015 Nike polos for each (2015 stamp on the tag, stripe down the back, etc.). No UCF merchandise at all.
I didn't take photos for obvious reasons.
Went around the corner to "Lids Sports Fan Attic" or whatever they call themselves these days. Near Sears on the upper level. I didn't take photos of everything as they have a lot of knick-knacks.
Women's Nike shirt for $38.
Rack of hats. The FSU hats are not visible, but while UF/FSU will have at least or two Nike hats to choose from, all UCF has is Top of the World.
T-shirts on a shelf. Bright yellow on those.
More hats. These are 2 for $25.
All of their college apparel is high up on the wall. So almost impossible to see the price without asking associate to get it down.
The only polos they had were "Chillwear" (just like Bealls).
However, UF and FSU have the full Nike line.
Stopped by the Altamonte Costco this morning. More coolers in stock.
The hats as we've seen before.
I guess it's hard to complain about $20 polos, but I thought they were uglier in person (and I didn't think they were pretty before).
They had one high-back chair left and noticed the price sign said "Central Florida University."
But in regards to the lack of Nike availability, as I said in the other thread, I'd love to speak with someone who does the buying. Why do stores carry UCF merchandise, but never the Nike stuff when they do for UF/FSU? Does Nike offer discounts on UF/FSU merchandise (lower wholesale cost)? It almost seems that has to be the case. Either that, or stores get big discounts for quantity - Bealls is willing to do a big order for UF/FSU because they'll send items to every store in the state, but they only think UCF stuff would sell in their Orlando stores only, so they're hesitant to place as large of an order.
