Does/should UCF have a strategy behind who they play?

Notice no Big (Almost) 12 teams. We played some in the past.
Did beating their champ put us out of the competition for
non-conference games?

Will scheduling ACC games as much as possible and beating them
have a negative impact on future scheduling and inclusion in expansion?

Just a thought...

Hard to say. If we become a middle of the pack, always unranked, with a losing or even with a winning record team, we might become unatractive. Win or lose, it means nothing to those teams so it becomes a recruting trip.

If we become a top team, always ranked, with a winning record team, we become a "sexy" opponent in somebody else's schedule. They lose, means they lost to a ranked team. They win, means they beat a ranked team.

It's all about what they can get out of playing us.

I agree that we need to get a system in place.
1.) FAU/FIU home
2.) Ga State/Ga Southern road
3.) P5 home
4.) P5 road

The next year flip. This isn't rocket science.

Don't think we will get a Top 10 again any time soon. Certainly, with
AAC we can get back into Top 25. Think strategy is for beating
P5 opponents and looking as candidate for future ACC or (long shot) SEC
expansion.
