Good story from Brian Murphy.

UCF offensive lineman Cole Schneider could feel it, but he couldn’t put his finger on it.

As the sophomore left guard was putting his bulky knee braces on and gearing up for Saturday’s kickoff in Pittsburgh, he could sense that something was amiss.

“I just didn’t feel the same as I usually do going out there and playing,” he said Wednesday. "Everything, it just seemed different. It wasn’t just like a normal game.”

And his teammate along the O-line, senior right tackle Jake Brown, felt the same sensation.

“The game, it had a weird feel to it. It felt weird walking out on the field. I don't know what it was,” Brown added. “I don't know if we're just not used to that kind of atmosphere. I'm not really sure, but it felt weird going out there.

“It felt different.”
