UCF Softball is regular season champs

Great job, ladies.
We have a really talented Softball team and I prefer watching their games vs watching men’s baseball. Softball games are more exciting and take way less time on average…. 7 innings vs 9 and not allowing base runners to take leads before stealing, keeps the game moving along at a much faster pace.
I wish college baseball had the same format because I’m sure it would be more popular than it is now.

You just described Little League Baseball and people only watch 1 game a year. I don’t find watching kids or women over Men in any sport except Gymnastics being must watch.

As a UCF fan, I watch ALL our teams (men and women) as much as possible and this is also why I pay for ESPN+.
I never said Softball is “must watch” and you're certainly free to shun women's sports to your heart’s content. I just simply stated that it’s better (more enjoyable) than watching baseball IMO.
Too many people complain that baseball is boring and takes too long to watch. I agree with this sentiment and therefore I prefer watching UCF softball vs UCF baseball for this very reason even though I watch them both equally. Plus the women (top 20) obviously win a hell of a lot more!
I’ll also add that UCF women's basketball (top 25) was better and more enjoyable than the men this year even though I paid for the men’s season ticket mini package. They should have beaten UConn in the 2nd round of NCAA tourney and it was definitely exciting to watch.
UCF Women’s tennis (top 20) was easily more enjoyable than men’s tennis this year and beat ’Bama (again) in the first round of NCAA tourney.
And last but not least, we shouldn’t forget about UCF Volleyball (top 20) making a nice run in the NCAA tourney. Very fun team to watch.
UCF women's sports have been kicking ass and it‘s a shame they don't get nearly as much attention/recognition from male sports fans.
There… I’m done with my little rant! 😉

My statement was you wanting baseball to change rules so it’s like women’s softball or LL Baseball. Because it takes too long. Winning would make it more fun to watch. Not changing the rules.

I have long believed they need to speed up the game of baseball. I can't watch it. Didn't they try something like a "pitch clock" several years ago?

Sorry, champions at what? Did we win the AAC championship? Are we #1 in the country or something? Don't watch softball so I'm lost
Cliff notes:
*We won the AAC regular season championship.
*We are the #1 seed in the AAC tourney that is this weekend (East Carolina is host).
*We are ranked #17 in the country with a 44-12 record.
*Now is a good time to start watching.😎

Watching softball over baseball isn’t watching women over men. They are different enough sports that they each have their own unique features. I find college softball easier to watch than college baseball. The field is smaller, so the girls have to move faster to get the ball to first. Obviously, the pitching is different with the windmill instead of over handed throwing, plus softball pitchers are closer and the ball can rise. Hitting styles are also different, not how they swing but slapping and bunting are more useful on a smaller field.

I’m not saying softball is harder than baseball, but those ladies are true athletes and there isn’t really a men vs women dynamic at play.

Smart move to walk Jada Cody by Houston, she has been killing the ball today. She hit the Houston pitcher right between the legs with a line drive last time up.

I've never been to a UCF softball game.

How does our facility hold up against AAC/Big12 foes?

KNIGHTS vs BULLS for Conference Tournament Championship tomorrow at 11am on ESPN2.
This is the matchup I was hoping for and makes the game even more exciting.
I believe we swept the Bulls at home and on the road this season.
UCF should get a regional bid even if Bulls pull off the upset, but hopefully the streak continues and we send them home in misery!
