Blew a 3-1 lead and had multiple chances (2 on base) in both the 6th and 7th but couldn't get a clutch hit...can't win tournaments without ladies stepping up when it counts...double elimination so still a chance but got to come through in the clutch.4-3 UM final
Hard to play 4 games in 48 hours and finish with an elimination game against TX. The back-to-back wins in earlier elimination games showed this team's grit...nice job ladies!I can't watch at 1pm, so I hope I get to see the 2nd game this afternoon! Go Knights!
"If Texas (48-10) wins the first game of the Austin Regional finals at 1 p.m. at Red & Charline McCombs Field, it advances to the super regionals and ends the Orlando program's season. If the Knights (35-23-1) snatch the first contest, a second will be necessary at 3:30 p.m."
UCF had to be one of those the last at large teams in. Good jobWell done. It was another successful season for UCF softball. I looked at the different regions, and they were put into one of the toughest brackets. Many of the girls were first year players. The future looks bright for the softball team.
