His point was going to NFL. That’s where the actual money is. He’s not going to be a top 10 pick. Just go to NFL. He can definitely hurt his chances though.

7th year for Medley. Wasn’t really in UCF’s future plans anyway, he’s going to be 25!

Losing Hunter sucks, but we were thought to be losing him to the NFL anyway, so that’s not really a new loss/new information for me either.

The two that hurt the most are M. Marshall and R. Pittman. There won’t be many OL in the portal across the country that are better than Marshall (or more experienced).

Coach doesn't matter for these older guys. If you have been a starter and haven't experienced NIL money yet you will enter the transfer portal for the biggest reward your last year. Some guys even do the transfer portal twice to increase NIL amount. Then you have the guys who want more playing time thinking they will get it somewhere else. This is the new normal in college recruiting.

Whether Gus stayed or Frost came in there would have been a lot of grumbling on the site like Gus chased them away or Frost chased them away. Of course, when and if we have more money to offer to NIL this will help the situation but I don't see UCF ever having enough money to pay every starter the NIL money they think they should get.

Our focus needs to be on getting people in who we can train one season and get one season of good play from. If we happen to get 2 years of good play or more that will be more the exception than the rule.

This is why Gus and others say they want to get out of being a HC But... we know Gus has a very narrow window for his offense to work in regard to his play set (selection of plays) and recruits needed (especially QB) to make it work. GOL was very narrow in his offensive approach as well and would see a 1 in every 4 year return (playing for the championship) in his approach.

Agree. I don’t care who leaves from a 4 win team. If Gus was here I’d be begging he be fired. Frost isn’t chasing many guys away. They aren’t replacing Gus loyalists that are happy with 4 wins.

To be fair its pretty rare you see incoming transfers labeled as bad. Its always hype because new=better, except it isn't. Its excitement from being picked as the landing spot and beating other bidders.
