UCF Transfer Portal Updates

Transfer portal is easily fixed. NIL contracts with buyouts. Right now they are completely one-sided. 3 year deals. If you leave, there is a buyout. The jumping will slow down immediately. Imagine if the NFL was all one year deals.
it’s not even one year deals

It’s 6 months

You are absolutely right no better way to put it!
Agreed. Think about the Penn State QB that is in the portal. He’s a very solid backup, one of the most productive in the country. If something were to happen to Allar, Penn State won’t have their backup now. That affects their entire season.

And you can’t blame the kid. He’s got to find a place to play before the spots/money dries up. That’s the system.

The problem is, they’re also still student athletes and they need to find a new home before the semester starts.

They need to find a way for the players to be fairly compensated, while also limiting their ability to bounce around from team to team so much.

This definately isn't true, has thrown for less than 300 yards, our team alone had 3 guys exceed that easily. Interesting change of pace in small doses is about the best way to describe him.

Will he start for someone next year? Probably, as every team in the nation is chasing portal QBs. But if you do, it is based on potential, not results.

What is Frost actually doing? I hope “buddy” knows he’s got to bring in an, almost, entire portal team.

Frost whistling Dixie while UCF football is burning?

Is Riley Trujillo still in the portal I see he may have enrolled at UCF after he entered the portal

Is there anything stopping schools from doing that now? The schools struggling of course want to make deals, the schools with deep pockets and success will happily offer 1 year NIL deals.

B1G and SEC is continuing to only get deeper pockets compared to the rest of the schools with their TV deals.

NFL has a salary cap which limits these situations, this is more like MLB. If all the best players want to join the same team and the owners want to pay for it, its fair game. What these schools are paying for players is still peanuts compared to professional sports, schools like Texas is not sweating it.

As of this morning yes....same with Colson. I'm not sure either will get many calls above the FCS level.

A large number of our transfers out have already found teams.

And Josh Celiscar decided to go to the temple terrace community college of fast food workers....yikes

Didn’t Trujillo have solid offers out of HS?

I don’t see KZ and Frost being interested in Colson

Celiscar brother was a heck of a football player. He also is a college coach. You wouldn’t think he would’ve given better advice to his brother. Who knows.
