Call me a masochist, but I'm watching the game on DVR early this Saturday. Watching with a clear head and over the loss (not really). Just trying to see what happened. Anyone else watch it after the fact? Chime in.
First half. UCF looked pretty good. Going into the half with a 14-3 lead and everyone was looking super confident. Jordan Akins is the real deal with numerous contributions on special teams and two passing TD's. Our running game was not working. FIU defense was pretty good against the run.
First half: defense looked stout on the inside but the outside looked weak. I think Coach Turner saw that also and came out in the 2nd half and exploited that with sweeps, bubble screens, bootlegs.
First Half: special teams looked great. Great punter and coverage.
2nd half: FIU comes out on fire with a long sustained drive. Looks like they concentrated on getting the ball to the outside where UCF looked weak. It worked. Then in the red zone, FIU crammed it up the middle with what looked like a tired d-line. UCF defense looked pretty bad. Tired, cramping, and missing tackles. 14-9 UCF.
2nd half: UCF offense goes conservative. Trying to establish the run early. Didn't work.
I'm at the end of the 3rd so far, coffee kicking in, but with a clear head.... I am probably going to cry watching the 4th quarter again....
OMG, while I just finished typing that my house lost power and now the TV and DVR are rebooting. Is it a sign? Should I just go outside and enjoy the 3 day weekend and not watch it? Will the DVR be erased? Wow, that is evil sign with the power going out. Power is back up. Ummm? Sorry for the blabbing...but eerie... Go Knights! (with the power loss my wifi went down. Took 20 minutes to get it to come back, so a little drama on posting on this forum. Luckily saved text. DVR saved game but gotta fast forward to 4th) ...
