I must say, this game is much more interesting now just to see how a true freshman QB is going to do. And while I don't think UCF is going to lose, this is the most uncertain I've been about a FCS game UCF has played. The offense has not looked good with pretty much every position having a hand in that. Nothing has shown they have the ability to light up the scoreboard, making me a bit nervous that things like turnovers could potentially make this game very close.
Maybe I'm giving Furman too much credit - I know absolutely nothing about them other than what I see in the stat sheet. If UCF hadn't looked like so awful against FIU, obviously I'd feel differently, though it did appear the OL improved some from game one to game two, though maybe the WRs took a step back with dropped passes. I think the defense has done decently. The offense has to give them something to work with. You can't expect the defense to hold up an entire game when the offense can't sustain drives or put up points. They're going to break eventually.
24-14 UCF.
