UCF vs PITT

Is UCF returning 5 on the D and 7 on the O.

Will your D be as strong as last year.

HAIL TO PITT!!!!
Can be hard to say how many "returning" because a lot of "2nd string" guys got so much PT they were basically 1st. Almost our entire secondary is back and we added a couple of transfers so it's deeper than last season. What was probably considered our top 3 DTs and 1 DE are gone but we did everything possible to add recruits and experienced transfers.
On O we bring back 3 all conference linemen, our top 3 rushers, and 3 highly experienced receivers. And we're really deep at those skill positions. Our TE can be considered new and of course you know about our QB situation.
I think we're all expecting a much closer game compared to last year.

defensive line is the big question for me. If they can hold their own with all of the new faces, I think the overall defense will be better.

Expecting a step back in special teams though (kicking and punting - return game should be comparable).

Several Pitt posters speak highly of Fatheads Saloon, as having the best burgers and sandwiches, and an amazing selection of local beers.

I'm there! Hope to see more black and gold!

They are correct. It’s not historical like Primanti’s but has wider variety of sandwiches and beer. I would do both if you can. But Fatheads is in the south side across multiple bridges, it’s not the easiest to get to. I wouldn’t try to do it short on time before the game or anything like that.

And they’re also correct about the different Primanti’s. Go to the one in the Strip District for the authenticity. If not that one, the one’s in Oakland by Pitt’s Campus or in Carson Street in the south side are close to the original decor and “feeling.”

The others in the burbs, while serving the sandwiches, are more like a chain restaurant.

Our O-line may be it's best ever -- better than even the 2012-2013 monsters that pushed everyone around -- and 2018 was already the #7 beefiest O-line of the final AP top 25 last year.

The front-7 will be largely new starters, but plenty of game time.

E.g., last year we had our 2nd team D rotating in often, which was completely shutting down your offense. It wasn't until we put in our 3rd team D that you were able to rip off that run in the 4th. Even your own fans recognized it was largely our 3rd string, not even our 2nd string.

Primanti is a Pittsburgh must plus it’s cheap BUT if you want an awesome sandwich or steak meal go to gaucho. Maybe a quarter mile from the main strip district area. You will see a line outside but it moves fast and welllll worth the wait. Also you can bring in your own beer and wine. I was in the burgh last week and seen pirates pitcher Joe musgrove sitting and eating standing by the door.

Go to the incline. You can drive mt. Washington quickly but those carts are pretty cool. Also point state park by the fountain is a good view of Hines field and the rivers.

Lastly go to rivers casino (right beside Hines field) and bet on the knights to win! Easy money

My Pitt people told me Lawrenceville is where it's at if you're looking for gastropub type places.

We lost a lot of experience on D but we've got some young talented guys stepping in to starting roles. Offense returns more we have three first team All-AAC offensive lineman coming back and several good WRs and our RB corp with Killins Jr, McRae and Otis Anderson is super talented and experienced.

I think Heinz has stopped sponsoring the stadium.
