UCF vs UCONN thursday night 7pm CBS Sports Network

Agreed, I'm almost afraid to watch. UCONN is coming off a humiliating defeat @Stanford. They are 9-7. They need to win and win big to get into the NCAA conversation the next few games. from recent UCONN articles they say they need to bring the fight back into their game. It may mirror last night's women's game.

UCONN went on a run that put them up by a bunch of points. UCF only down by 6 at the half. Which is a miracle.

Good learning experience for McBride tonight...which is what he needs to take his game to the next level.

While he had a nice double-double in 21 mins of play...he was contested on both ends of the court...too slow on defensive ends on some pick and rolls and drives to the lane where Brimah had multiple slam dunks...to working hard on the offensive end (giving guards targets to get ball inside) but he had multiple shots blocked...went 3-13 from the field (several were very good looks) while he lead UCF from the FT line (perfect 5-5).

I think tonight's game in particular...with Donnie trying to give him more minutes...McBride knows if he continues to work hard (especially this off-season and hopefully he can stay healthy) that if he can lose 25 more lbs...he can be a dominating player, even in the AAC.

Meanwhile...Goodwin has to stop being a turnover machine (5 turnovers and just 1 assist for the starting point guard) as he gets so lackadaisical with the ball as he gets picked clean or his lazy passes are easily taken/deflected by the opponent.
