Louisville will come into the Bounce House pissed off and with a chip on its shoulder after getting bullied in New York. Make no mistake. This will be a four-quarter battle. Louisville popped UCF last year and thinks it will again. I am glad it is a short week for Louisville, but Louisville may have been looking ahead to this matchup against UCF in the preaseason.

It will be a war Friday. Bring your binky and crash helmet.

Maybe. It’s hard to overlook the fact a Traditionally weak Syracuse team that committed almost 20 penalties dismantled them.

Every game is different, but us struggling against Louisville wouldn’t be a good sign.

Don't overlook a P5 team backed into a corner that has not allowed a 100-yard rusher and barely gave up 200 yards on the ground.

a war, haha. you say things like this because you pretend like you have any respect for UCF. you're a malzahn guy. if we can't beat a shitty louisville team at home then we're gonna be who we were predicted to be: 3rd or 4th best team in the conference.

We should be highly motivated after last year, but they did tear through us like kleenex most of the game last year so we do need a strong effort and a boisterous non-hurricane crowd.

They played like a defeated and disorganized team in the 2nd half against Syracuse. So, it's all about a quick start, get the mo and the crowd into the game. We do that, we win going away. Otherwise it could be a battle. It's up to us to be ready to go...

Louisville beat UCF's @$$ last season and will gladly do it again if you let them come into your house and have their way.

I say get that MF'er rocking early and often and give them the beating they deserve.

“Beat that ass”? Hardly, and if it was’t for Amari Johnson brick hands that lead to a last second pick 6 it would have been a road win. Do you watch UCF games?

Give me a break. Anyone that’s ever actually played/coached the sport knows that one play rarely decides the outcome of a game.

Yes, Amari Johnson dropped a pass that resulted in a pick-six. But did he give up 310 yards passing as well? Did he allow Cunningham to run for 99 yards and two TD’s? Did he allow the opposing TE to accumulate 100 yards receiving? Was Johnson the reason UCF went 2-10 on 3rd down offensively?

If UCF’s defense would’ve played better, the pick six wouldn’t have been a deciding factor.

All if this nonsense about blowing out Louisville from posters on this thread is false confidence. As long as Louisville has Cunningham, they are a threat to our defense. History should tell you all that - either way - this game will probably be a close one.

I would agree but obviously lowly syracuse found an effective way to mininize them. We should be able to do the same.

I watched that one. Wasn't it a third down when Dillion threw the pick 6?

UCF was missing their starting

For the majority if not all of the game and it took a fluke pick 6 to lose. That’s not getting your ass beat.

Yes all of that happened, but the drop and pick 6 happened at the end, while we were driving on their side of the field with a minute or less left to win the game, a critical play. I was highlighting how the Auburn fan who said we got our ass beat was wrong. Relax guy.

And anyone who has played, coached or watched any sport knows that end of game critical plays absolutely win and lose games.

I agree crush their hope, then stand on their neck for revenge.

I Agree. We were rolling. Then injuries started piling up and it was neck and neck finish. hopefully we get that W this Friday.

I’m sure espn will show the DG pick from last year’s game . The start of the biggest ‘what if’ for that game and our QB depth chart

Not just us, it also affected Oklahoma’s QB situation too. I think DG considers staying if he is healthy and we have a good aeason.

Defense will improve automatically by not having Anthony Montalvo playing a standing DE position and trying to chase down Cunningham. Still not sure what Travis Williams was thinking on that one.
They found him and picked on him early and often.

Anthony started at NG last Thurs and played well....that's his best position. I'm sure it was a lesson learned for TWill and he won't make that mistake again.

Yeah, that wasn’t working - but I think They were still trying to figure out who went where, including Bryson Armstrong and Hodges. Did Montalvo start the game at DE or was that after injuries piled up? Can’t remember.

For that game we had

No Matt Lee
Bowser hurt early
Flash hurt early
Ricky Barber
Bethune hurt early
Corey Thornton hurt early
TMB less than 10 snaps
Justin Hodges didn’t play
No Brandon Adams

So 9 regular players out of 22 that weren’t playing. Also had to move Cole Schneider out of position,Armstrong was out of position and Montalvo was out of position. So over half of our starters were backups or out of position and it took a fluke pick 6 to win.

But they sure beat our ass!

I think he started there b/c TMB was being disciplined and seemed to have sat him for the first half for whatever reason (his DUI maybe). Would have thought we had more depth than that though and didn’t need to put Montalvo there, he was so out of position that game. Same w/ Bryson, Twill was still figuring it out this game, which is understandable.

He started opposite Big Kat. We had guys out (TMB), but not starting Celiscar or one of the younger guys showed DWill's inexperience as a D-coordinator. The good news is that he and Anthony have improved since then.

TMB was suspended first half if memory serves correct. It was his tipped pass on a qb pressure that got us a big INT late in the game. Unfortunately we threw a pick six a few plays later. TMB and Celiscar will be crucial to setting the edge and containing their qb. They did this extremely well against lower competition last week but we see the result when you make a run first qb have to throw

Next! Bring up the next opponent and let's see what this (UCF) team has on the inside. UL showed they tanked easily last week. Hope that isn't our MO this Friday. It seems like we responded in the 3rd quarter last week after SC State started to fight back. This Friday we may be the one having to fight back. That's okay as long as we don't give up, we have the talent.
