As we have seen from the conference predictions, UCF is being labeled as a solid 3rd/5th place pick in the AAC.

The bear cats have an explosive offense, fair. But, does anyone remember Case Keenum? Even take a look at last year with the Shane Carden and the Hardy combo.

Bottom line we have athletes; especially in the past 3 -4 years. This program has established a pedigree and the sustained pipeline will show it's true value this season.

How can you not be excited about our offense?

Our defense, as it always has been, will sustain...

The underdog role is one in which UCF thrives on. This season will literally come down the the Cincinnati game; and we take it. Did you think with confidence we would take out Louisville? What about Baylor? And we are all of a sudden concerned with Cincy?!?!?!

Charge on.

I don't think we give a crap anymore about Cincy than we do any other game. They aren't the bees neez. There defense was terrible and some of the games I saw last year they lacked discipline all around. Memphis is good but they are totally beatable. ECU is always a toss up but we have them home. We def have a chance to win the conference again IMO.

I agree MuckDawg,

I wish we could go to practice, id really like to see how much Holman has developed. And I have a great feeling about Stanback this year. (granted i think we all did last season..) But, just from reading the reports he seems to be on the rise, also no naggy injuries from what i know..

GOL seems very confident in this team, i dont know if the new AD role has re-energized him, but it appears he has a great attitude this year. Also, props to GOL for being at all of the practices, was a little worried about that at first..

My big question marks are in our OC and DC.. I guess only time will tell

"As long as we beat USF I am good"

With THE-JIM Curse in effect, I think you will be really *good* for a really long time.

The scholarship reductions are still killing our depth. We are thin at multiple areas and young in many areas. We lost near all our WR's which isn't easy to overcome. We lost Glenn which was our lock down corner. Lost plummer who was pretty solid at MLB. Is our OLine improved much this year? If not, that will be a huge challenge to win the AAC this year. The positive part is no team in the AAC is overwhelmingly good.

I think being the DOG this season will help us. I don't like to be the DOG but it is what it is. :)

OP like this are why the free boards are garbage. All air, zero substance.

Are you at practices? Do you have anything to contribute? .... Didn't think so, everything is speculation at this point. don't take your self that serious. And beggars cant be choosers, so unless you've got something worth sharing why are you crying?

Since practices are closed, the Dungeon doesn't have much more info than the open board,

There is no reason to piss on someone just because they are optimistic. You want specific reasons to feel good?

1. The O-Line should be much improved. Grant is healthy and everyone has had a year of experience to get better and stronger.

2. Running backs are healthy...at least up to this point.

3. The D-Line should be VERY good which is probably the most important segment of defense. Some are saying the D-Line could be a DOMINANT force this year.

4. We are NOT depleted at WR. We have one WR with game experience. One who was good enough to play last year except we had 4 NFL quality receivers. We have slot receivers who were former QB's and UCF has had success making QBrecruits into successful receivers. At least one of our highly rated freshmen will be good enough that opponents will not be able to double team anyone.

Case and point, well put. In reference to number 3. i couldn't agree more. I feel that's one of the reasons the SEC is so dominate, the DT's in that conference are unreal.

I Cant wait to watch new stars emerge this season. Also GOL has stated in 2 separate interviews that the size of this team physically is impressive.

UCF will be a top 5 team in the AAC. But the AAC still has Cincy, East Carolina always finds ways to challenge us, Memphis continues to gain and there will always be yet another who can beat us.

Plus we can always drop a game like UConn. In fact, I'm still shocked we went 8-0 in 2013, but I then remember we could have been 5-3 that year too. I mean, Temple was almost our UConn that year.

Don't have access to a hexadecimal debugger anymore since I stopped doing COBOL programming.
Can anyone decode this? :)

Then you probably use ECBDIC instead of ASCII anyway. ;)

Otherwise ... http://bfy.tw/1Oo6
