why does this guy continuously make stupid decisions? There is no excuse for this many bad decisions.

You are so right. Why, any coach with half a brain would have taken a knee after that last turnover. Everyone knows you just run out the clock at the half and hang on to that 10-3 lead for the second half.

I was hoping last game broke the low 20s scoring rut we've been in. This looks bad so far. Hope they come out of the half like earlier this year.

Haters gonna hate.

Coach is trying to be unpredictable... Unfortunately it failed.
There was 1:30 left on the clock. You pin them back and make them drive the whole field. They also had the ball to start the 2nd half. Why give them that momentum? If we would have punted, then after we stopped them we would have probably given us the ball at the 50-40 with 50 seconds left. You have to play field position when your offense doesn't score 50 points a game.

Championship teams demand championship effort every play, and championship coaching at all times. We have neither but the effort on the field will get better. Crap decisions like today will cost us some big game in the future and nobody will think it's funny.

What youre saying is GOL makes better decisions and we need to bring him back?

any reasonable fan doesn't think or expect that this is a Championship level team with the amount of True Freshman playing on Offense

just enjoy the ride, we know the last 2 opponents will be tougher

I cant ever recall K_L, Mattropolis and SC ever criticizing GOLs playcalling....ever.

No. What I'm saying is someone needs to break down their decisions, like they do to the players and they need to "correct" things as well. His situational decision making and clock management has been poor throughout the entire season. It's not isolated.

The first thought when you mentioned this was Brady Hoke. Before he went to Oregon, UCF almost brought him in here because he wanted to be associated with this offense. Curious if his experience would improve correcting things.
As for clock management and decision making, this is what is to be expected. He builds up these leads and takes chances because he thinks its a low risk gamble. I had an idea where he should always defer the kickoff, then when the 2nd half rolls around slow it down on the first drive and go ball control. Find a way to give the defense a longer halftime and shorten the 2nd half game for them before going back to speeding up the tempo.

Happiest I've seen Frost ever! He almost seemed giddy after the game. Nice to see him show emotion. Also, did he get doused? I didn't see it, but somebody said they did.

The issues I've had all year is with the decisions to punt, not punt, fake punts. Hasn't costed us much in the long-term grand scheme of things in terms of this program's growth. Maybe 1-2 losses, but the coaching staff has made up for it in numerous other ways.

UCF started the season with chaos on special teams and later with breaking in Killins on kickoff returns. Now we're even blocking a punt for a TD, every kickoff deep into the end zone, and getting nice punt returns. Fake punts are an investment, giving future opponents one more thing to worry about (and sometimes they work).

The very last thing I worry about Frost is his offensive play calling. He's been doing that at a real powerhouse program!

I'm waiting for our team to get rid of punting and extra points.
2 plays which concede that we can't do better.
Only chickens take no risks :)

K_L and mattropolis at least debate...you say nothing...but if 0-12 deserves a statue i'm glad your money was spent on it.

Oh yes because the statement "GOL's #1 Nuthugger" just speaks volumes of bullet points for debate... [eyeroll]
