Wouldn't have happened if we hadn't been so involved in the middle east for decades. Nobody bothers someone that minds their own business.
Well 19!years ago he was adamant that IRAG had WMDs. That was proven wrong. He also believed going into Afghanistan was what was needed. 19 years later we are still there. Hmmm was it the right thing to do?
Iraq wasnt strong enough to take over that much. But, what people dont realize, is that Kuwait was also slant drilling and essentially stealing Iraq's oil (along with other financial disagreements stemming from the Iraq-Iran war), Iraq didnt invade Kuwait for no reason. Dont take that the wrong wrong, I am not saying we should have just let Iraq continue to march into Kuwait, but we also could have probably handled it a bit differently, and the American public was certainly sold a bill of goods when they were trying to justify the war.
Yep. There was an HBO movie about that years ago, CNN was basically the only network that stayed in Iraq, which lead them to become a major network.
