UCF's George O'Leary under pressure to sustain Knights' future

I never see the firewall/paywall. I found if you are coming from a google search it allows you to read the article. So, if I post a link and it stops you, go to google and search the title, then click. If they stop that from happening eventually I wouldn't be upset if I didn't see another duh*slant article. They suck. What does this article add other than it insinuates that our local rag isn't going to write positive articles about UCF unless they are in a "power 5" conference.

I never understood why reporters find it necessary to be snarky. Do they think they are being clever? I guess the thought of what is journalism has fallen far in the internet era.

Under pressure...like...every college coach, ever?

I didn't think it was that bad, especially considering it was the Slantinel.
At least it "balances out" Bianchi, while not going to the Depths of Diaz.

But yes, I do agree, every time I read an UCF article in the Slantinel, it's clear they are writing it for Gator and Seminole fans, maybe the few Hurricanes left. They still haven't gotten the message that UCF is the #1 in Orlando, and that's not changing anytime soon.

Then again ... it might be because the Slantinel recognizes less and less of Orlando is subscribing to them, and is only left with fans of the #2, #3 and #4 teams in the region. ;)

Plus, it only had retread quotes from O'Leary. Lame article is lame.

LOL, good one...

It is not that the whole of it is bad, it is just couched in so much condescension and sarcasm. why is this necessary and what does it accomplish?
