UConn coach Bob Diaco still bringing 'Civil Conflict' trophy to Orlando

Ironic just this summer we thought it was a big joke and when we won it back we were going to throw it into Lake Eola.
Now there's a likelihood that it make take up to three years to finally achieve the goal.

Diaco took GOL to school last year by squeezing some offense out of his terrible attack by putting his best athlete in the wildcat formation. GOL needs to reciprocate. Unfortunately, when we run the wildcat we do it with a guy with no playmaking ability and UCONN will not be surprised by it because it is all over our game tape. Go figure.

Hey I like the Civil Conflict. Even Diaco knows it's not a real rivalry like UCF vs USF or UConn vs Syracuse, but it brings some fun to an otherwise uninteresting game.

Wow that double stinks. 1) We have an actual trophy with UCONN in football 2) We might lose to UCONN making it a loss 2 out of last 3 years.
Might lose? How in God's name can this team get a win? We have the worse offensive line in the history of college football and we are playing with freshman and players who should be on the scout team of an FCS school.

I think this is one time when both fan bases are depressed to have anyone consider the other a rival.

It's a rivalry, bro. Throw the records out.

If this doesn't jolt our team back to life, nothing will.

We never looked at this matchup as a rivalry. We were supposed to be embarrassing them so badly that it was more of an annoyance. Last year, wasn't supposed to happen, but it did. Uconn's coach is making a rivalry where there is none. Now we aren't even favored so the tides have turned.

If we beat them, it still won't be a rivalry game IMO, but we can beat our chests and act like it is to piss them off. So.., I'm watching this game with a nothing to lose attitude. There's not much different stuff to talk about until we win a game.

Hope Holman plays and the freshmen WRs shine. The WRs are the future of this program.

Yes, our O-line and running game is off the charts.
