Underground Hyperloop coming?

Dumbest thing I ever heard; build a tunnel full of thousands of cars in the earthquake capital of the world.

Yeah, sorry, I forgot about all those earthquakes in Baltimore. You are clearly correct, earthquake capital of the world.
Yeah, go ahead and pretend as if you didn't see the correction that I made and the link to support my earlier statement. At least I can admit to a mistake and correct it. You, on the other hand, just continue on being the fcuk up that we all know and hate.

Interesting info from the Boring Company website:
What about earthquakes?
Tunnels, when designed properly, are known to be one of the safest places to be during an earthquake. From a structural safety standpoint, the tunnel moves uniformly with the ground, in contrast to surface structures. Additionally, a large amount of earthquake damage occurs from falling debris, which does not apply inside tunnels. Some examples:
    • 1994 Northridge Earthquake: no damage to LA Subway tunnels
    • 1989 Loma Prieta (Northern California) Earthquake: no damage to tunnels, which were then used to transport rescue personnel
    • 1985 Mexico City Earthquake: no damage to tunnels, which were then used to transport rescue personnel

I get all the latest subterranean engineering information from Geography.Knight on the ucf water cooler message board, he knows way more about this kind of stuff than some multi billion dollar company filled with the best engineering minds in the field.

Yes, quoting the actual company. Of course they have no ulterior motive in putting forward a purely positive spin on things like, say . . . profit. Didn't White Star Line deem the Titanic "unsinkable"? Didn't Iran say they wanted nuclear power for "peaceful" purposes?

I guess I just wouldn't put all my faith in the word of a company that stands to make ridiculous profits from various drilling contracts.

Iran is a company?

All your examples are opinions, the quoted text include facts. Verifiable incidents that happened and their outcomes.

Sure they have a motivation to lie, but did they in this case? Is it even in their interest? What if they said the LA Subways were fine during the earthquake, but a quick google search revealed 1000s died and there were billions in damages. That would completely ruin their credibility.

Did you also know that shuffling the letters of the Wall Street Journal's acronym leads to SJW???

Why would one want to go subterranean with Hyperloop? What advantage at all is there over going elevated?
