Doesn't look to good...especially those that are not flying Jet Blue (only terminal power)

CBS News reporter talks about people being stranded at airport trying to get any flight out for 3 days with no water.

Congress said maybe they can try to get a funding bill for relief by early to mid October.

Congress is awful. What's your point? They haven't passed funding for Irma yet either.
Maybe other vocal branches of government could be outwardly vocal and push for getting more support down there. It also raises an interesting thought on donating/charity. For one event - maybe two you can get some solid to spectacular crowd-funding going on. But keep adding more back to back, people seem to get a bit fatigued and burned out.

You are just trying to turn this into something political and race bait because Hillary said Trump doesn't care about brown people. FEMA directors are in PR and USVI. Just like they were in Texas and Florida. PR will get funding just like Texas did (Dems would only approve with with a debt ceiling hike btw) and Florida will eventually get. This isn't political you worthless dumb fuk. I haven't seen any crowd funding to help pay our 20 employees that couldn't work for a week because we didn't have power or phones. I didn't see any crowd funding to help me clean up my property that I've been working on for two weeks. I don't see any public outcry or crowd funding for people that are still flooding from runoff from Irma. GFYS.

Hope your house is doing ok, Bob.

And don't worry. We're on the case! They'll be fine in a jiffy.

Our Navy has 6 ships off the coast that can't dock because there are sunken vessels in the way and the main port is destroyed.

Why don't you take a boat down there and btch and whine about Republicans until these things magically get fixed?

Nowhere did I say Republicans. I simply posted a factual tweet from our president. You're spouting fake news.

This is all false and a ridiculous mischaracterization of the situation. All lies and innuendo.

The right wing Nazi news organization known as NPR just had a disaster relief expert on basically saying this is one of the biggest relief challenges since Haiti. The US Federal Government is actively trying to assess what resources to send first; the USMC and Navy are already down there. We have federal armed agents on the ground protecting sensitive sites and gas stations.

The issue is that this is an island. Unlike the hundreds of power trucks that drove in for Irma, you either have to airlift or ship in additional trucks and resources. They don't even know what they need to restore power since the entire grid is destroyed in some areas.

It's going to take a full scale military operation to keep this place from blowing. People can only go so long without power, sanitation, or water before society breaks down.

It's trashed down there. They have main transmission lines down. It's going to be a mess for a while, I wouldn't be surprised if this pushed them to statehood.

They voted in favor of statehood just only a few months ago. Yes, under duress of crushing debt, but they really had no choice. The problem is, do you really think a Republican controlled government is going to add a state that will overwhelmingly vote Democrat. Never going to happen.

Against Trump? Sure. But a Marco Rubio could certainly beat someone like Hillary there.

They only had a 23% turnout, the vote was moot. Party politics doesn't matter if they add value to the country.
