Here are the latest updated overall recruiting rankings (includes Jan Transfer Portal enrollees and even late signing guys from Wed).

UCF is #1 in AAC...some 13 pts higher than Cincinnati:

UCF's 211 pt class would ranked #3 in New Big 12: (NOTE: BYU's class has 193 pts...but sometimes thats hard to grade as they have some 23 and 24 yr old guys who have completed their 2 year mission trips that were signed years ago but are now the size of giants)

Note: cow u's transfer class of 55-60 players, 22 new ball boys and 4 G5 Office Assistants has them only ranked 5th in the AAC.

Not as much as them downgrading Lewis from a 5 star to a 3 star recruit.

Almost every other injured player that couldn't play in their first year is never downgraded 2 levels like Lewis.
I'd have to believe the downgrade on Gatewood would be even greater, considering he was literally ranked as a borderline 5 star QB and now he literally has no chance of ever being a starting QB and will probably have to switch positions if he wants to play at all.

Rankings are are done before you take a snap for your new team. Gatewood was a late addition that counted toward 2022.

some transfers rankings are updated some are not. Gatewood stood out to me as a guy who’s ranking should be much different than it is. Which is why I asked the question.

We also have a few other transfers that weren’t re-rated. If I am reading the 247 transfer ratings correctly, they are basically counting them (including Gatewood) as 0 stars.

Swoboda, McDaniel, and Gatewood look like they are counted as 0*, and I would argue Swoboda should at least stay a 3*.

Grable too was unrated but I didn’t expect him to be more than a 2* when re-rated.

also, the 4 un-rated transfers are higher than most schools.

at least one more 3* would have made our overall ranking jump 3-4 spots, maybe even above Nebraska at 212 vs

We'd be #5 ahead of Baylor. The numbers were probably updated. #38 overall...

Players that weren't re-ranked don't count towards transfer rankings at all.

So if UCF's remaining unranked transfers were given new ranks, they probably would only trail Oklahoma, Texas, and maybe TCU.

Don't forget the P5 ratings factor when we're actually in the B12... x1.25 at least.
