USF doesn’t get enough hate for the Big East’s downfall. If we invite UCF, TCU was already joining and we would’ve gotten the deal we wanted from ESPN.
The players lost their coach right before the season began. To death. Who cares what he brought up? Be better than that.
I wish them nothing but success in basketball for what they're going through. That's how in touch with reality I am. Would even be hard to root against them right now if they played us.

It has turned over completely now twice with programs lower than yours not only winning it but passing you up and leaving to higher conferences. You STILL can't even compete for the Conference title. You're well below UCF and FAU will soon overshadow your poor excuse for a football program. Happy New Year cow. Won't be seeing you. 😂
Your not wrong. USF AD did the exact same thing and i never agreed with it. We are natural geographic rivals and very similar type shools. Our AD and President tuned their nose up without realizing that these 2 schools are a perfect rival. It comes naturally. You can't force a real rivalry.
That said I changed the subject title of this thread..we are not > in anyway right now. You guys have been successful and USF is building to get there. Just not there yet.....wish yall a Happy Year and wish both of our programs a better 2025 then 2024. Be safe on the roads tonight everone!

I really appreciate your empathy. If Coach was here. He would welcome the smack talk as long as it's not personal threats. Again my point, we have to find a way to keep this rivalry going. It's too good not too.

You've earned it. But FAU? Come on dude. We kicked threir ass in football this year. And beat their returning final 4 BB team at the Sundome last year and then won the regular season championship. Do your homework first if u want to talk smack bro!

Played against USF with Lee Rose as the coach. Nice man (Sun Dome ) They had it going at the time
I don’t think some posters recall the death of the coach n got caught with the rivalry. Outside of maybe 3 posters ( 2 have entirely different agendas) this a classy board

I remember our football team playing a couple of teams where one their coaches died earlier that season. Did you root against UCF then? It's not uncommon. My usf hatred is a good natured hatred so wouldn't actually wish harm on any of them other than the closing of the 'school', so at this time suspend any rivalry crap with the usf BB team, if I had any, but wouldn't get hysterical and root against UCF if we played them. Maybe it's because they're so far behind us they don't matter anymore. Even if in their wildest dreams they get into the playoffs some year, it will end up like Boise v Penn St. Not Far.

So im interested in how you guys feel about Frost coming back. Personally i think it's a really good move. My thought process is Frost is more of an offense first ciach with fast productive players. Defense is secondary. Imo he was a terrible fit in the Big 10. Those teams are run physical /defensive style teams. Not Frost Forte. He's better suited for the Big 12 I think. Where the emphasis is offense and be just good enough on Defense. He is positioned to be better at UCF then Nebraska. Just my opinion.
I'm open to meet anybody. I appreciate UCF fans. In fact i met a super couple in Tampa one weekend in the Gasparilla Bowk. They were great young couple and we had a lot of fun and enjoyed talking to each other.

I haven't gone anywhere. I was at that game and your team was so much better than us that year and i knew you would kill us. The Milton injury I saw up close in the stands. It was horrifying. I could here him screaming. I asked My brother at the game that day let's say a prayer for him right now. Right then the scoreboard wasn't important. We just wanted the man to get up and be 👌

Leavitt did the EXACT SAME THING and cancelled games with us after 2008.
