We got a couple minutes with Justin Holman today. He never says a whole lot - here are the highlights:
On removing the glove:
"My hand got stronger, so there is no need for the glove. At first it was hard to grip the ball coming back from the injury. Now it's close to 100 percent, so there's no need for the glove."
On the differences between GOL and Barrett as head coaches:
"It's a youth factor I guess you could say. Both have the same type of mentality. Hard work, coming to practicing and finishing. No major difference. Of course since we've only got four weeks left, he can't implement his coaching style, stick with what's in place. More youth and exuberance."
He made a comment about Barrett "floating around" more and interacting with players.
I asked whether he'd like to see Barrett considered for the permanent job.
"When it comes about, me and the other guys on the team that will be seniors and are seniors this year, we'll get together and talk about how we want to approach administration and see what kind of coach is coming in."
