This is offered to all 1.4M US employees, with no up front investment required by the employee, and no minimum GPA to enroll. Wal Mart partnered with 3 colleges (1 of which is UF- puke) and they can work towards a degree in either Business Management or Supply Chain Management, two degrees that are directly relevant to Wal Mart careers.

They can go to college for $365/year which is less than the average college credit hour normally.

Another success story for capitalism and the tax cuts making room on the bottom line for investments like this!

365 dollar college from one company is a major accomplishment in capitalism!

Meanwhile in dirty commie land college is 0 dollars for everyone.

Zero dollars because commie land doesn't use the dollar as currency, right? If not, that statement is so absolutely, positively incorrect.

I can't believe I just responded to a total obvious troll post.

Only a true commie dolt like yourself thinks that $0 tuition = free.

It must sadden you seeing American companies thriving in 2018 [roll]

Companies aren't thriving in 2018. Theyre flat even with the tax stimulus built in.

Oh? I thought they were making more profits than ever, screwing workers to do it, and the tax cut will only boost their bottom lines at the expense of everyone else.

Now you tell me that they aren't thriving.

Can you please get your partisan, incorrect, convenient talking points straight and re-submit for consideration?

I'm talking about the market. There is no room for opinion here. It's about what the market started 2018 at and what it's at now. You said companies were thriving in 2018 and it's not true.

Oh, so now the market is the main indicator of how well a company is doing? I thought evil companies squeeze workers and artificially inflate profits to make their share price look better, thus not actually doing that well? Now you're telling me that a relatively flat market for a few months is THE indicator that companies aren't doing well?

Again- can you please get your partisan, incorrect talking point straight and re-submit for consideration?

Yeah, imagine how shit they would be doing without all the stuff you talked about.

Only a pure communist ideologue would criticize 365$ a year college.

Only a socialist wouldn't recognize that the reason college is unaffordable today is because of government involvement in the financing aspect of tuition.

So just wondering where is the thread about Harley Davidson closing down their Missouri plant and moving some of the work from the USA to Thailand after taking the tax cuts? I was told you are super bipartisan, surely you would comment on both the positives and negatives of this tax break?

They have excess domestic inventory due to a downturn in demand and addressed that. The Thailand plant opens up a market overseas where they can be competitive there. They are separate and unrelated. Harley will still build the bikes that it sells in America in their Wisconsin plants. Unless you’ve seen something I haven’t, they have not said that they are moving work to Thailand.

That's the official word from Harley, union people working at the closing American plant say otherwise.

MILWAUKEE -- A labor union for Harley-Davidson believes the nation's best-known motorcycle maker is closing its factory in Kansas City in order to move some of the work to a new plant in Thailand.

THIS JUST IN: dying motorcycle brand with sinking sales in the US dares to find new markets overseas.

Shocking!

Cool, glad you guys have the critical thinking caps on like always. You'll swallow anything if it fits in your preconceived world view.

Fair enough. Let's use critical thinking and figure out why they would move. With the new corporate tax laws and fewer regulations, what would be their motivation to move this plant overseas? I honestly have no idea so I can't put out an opinion on it. My guess would be that the domestic market isn't calling for their product and they want to maintain their profit margins by entering new markets, but Thailand doesn't scream to me "HARLEY DAVIDSON". Is it a parts plant or a full production facility? If it's just parts then I suppose I could see that but this seems like a brand who wouldn't want to be criticized for being foreign made on any level

screw college ... the government should just give everyone $500,000. That will help a lot more.

Harley sales really dying? I’ve no idea. Here in boomer cuck Florida land seems like there’s HD a stiff everywhere. I looked closely through Polaris financials when I thought the stock looked like a good purchase candidate.

Labor unions have been lying to the public since before Jimmy Hoffa went on his extended vacation.

Harley-Davidson to move production for some motorcycles out of US after EU tariffs

It's happening. I'm sure you'll admit you were wrong, since you're not a hypocrite and all.

This is a different issue than what was talked about earlier. That being said, its not surprising in the least and another good example of why tarriffs are bad.

Well, the root of both problems are Trump's amazingly ignorant economic programs.

When I was in Hanoi, I saw a huge Harley dealership there. Like, a full blown dealership with enough room for David Alan Coe converts. It blew my mind.

Good for Harley since absolutely no one younger than 60 is buying them here.
