Walking Dead

My GF is a badass corporate atty and total bitch. But she bawled like a baby when Glen got whacked. Didnt help that i was yelling "AWESOME!!!" at each horrific whack.

My whole family thought it was unnecessarily violent. I was a little pissed that G was killed off since he's been really good on the show. Yeah, it took way too long for the reveal. For as violent as it was, it seemed liked it really dragged.

I'm amazed you guys still watch this. Like, how much aimless wandering can you guys take before you declare this too repetitive? I got through 3 seasons, attempted to the 4th, but it was just too much of the same. And my biggest complaint was that the producers were terrified to axe the fan favorite characters, leaving them to survive when everyone and everything else around them was dying. At least now it seems they're getting over that.

It's the same reason I wrote off Fear the Walking Dead after the first 2 episodes of this season. The first season was awesome since it started at the very beginning and showed how life crumbled. But then it jumped ahead way too fast, and FTWD is just another WTD, with characters you often don't care about wandering and opining about survival.

Meh.

This show has had it all, Two gay guys, two gay chicks, a white guy bonking a Black woman, mindless masses of zombies, following what ever impulses they have. Corrupt politicians, violent cops out of control. kids that play with guns and lose eyes. beheading s not done by Muslims, gang violence, looting.

I thought the episode was great. I thought the delay in telling you was frustrating but it just added to the suspense. Fear the Walking Dead i'm on the border of giving up. Sons of Anarchy got to a point where I wanted everyone to die and quit watching. I'm almost there with Fear the Walking Dead.

And TWD producers said this week that they have "material" for another 5-7 seasons! I suppose they're intent on having Rick wander the entirety of N America and then showing us how life rebuilds eventually or something.

You do realize that the show is based off a highly successful and long running comic right?

How do you keep reading articles about how corrupt Hillary is?

How are all these zombies still alive after a decade?
I've mentioned this before, they'd all be inanimate after about 3-5 days due to the bodies' muscular cells dehydrating and ceasing to function. But I will give the producers credit, the zombies are more decomposed, slower, weaker, and more fragile than they were in the first season. Rick would have been zombie food outside the RV in season one, yet he is able to push and shove his way out of a horde of zombies unarmed in this episode.

The end of this season of FTWD was just dumb all around. The whole second half of the season was dumb. I went from rooting for Maddie and Travis to wanting them to die. I don't think I'll bother with the next season.

The FTWD showrunners absolutely failed to recognize that the appeal of the show was how society fell and how the "disease" spread. They could have easily made that into 2 seasons, with various subplots, but instead they zoomed through society's downfall in less than 1 season and then made it TWD 2.0. Complete with characters wandering off, on their own, dealing with zombies and rogue gangs and outposts.

The first 3/4 of FTWD Season 1 was awesome.

Yeah, I'm starting to lose interest in Walking Dead. How many times are they going to replay the same story? Sure , they killed off a couple long timers, but more out of desperation for something new.

Great series, but they should start thinking about wrapping it up.

The producers have signed with AMC for season 8 of TWD, and I've read their comments in the media that they think they can conservatively go 10-12 seasons. I think it's already starting to lose it's luster.

I mean, as a realist, we're going on 6-8 years since the "disease" or whatever it was spread and civilization collapsed; wouldn't these survivors have run out of gas, medicine, ammo and you know food has to be extremely scarce (packaged food is long gone by now)?

Really about year 2, I believe, but yeah, food and fuel and ammo would be very scarce.

I got a little bored with how much they invested to make the new bad guy look bad. I'm losing interest. I'm now more into The Strain , Ballers, and Westworld. WD is way down the list.

It's not just reality vs non-reality that dude. How many times can they reinvent the same story? Tribe runs into bad guys, bunch get killed, Rick eventually kills bad guy. Lather, rinse repeat. They spent at least half the last episode developing the bad guy character, it was getting boring to me. Guess that was needed to a certain degree according to the classic hollywood script, but I was not finding it entertaining. They need an entirely new twist to the plot.

The Strain is awesome. It went a bit flat last season but the current season is really badass.
