Was #81 Chris Johnson just slow OR did he led up assuming TD was insight?

Looking at the replay, he had enough cushion to turn on the jets, but the freaking fast DB caught his A$$

That was the turning point of the game period. Instead of being up, we went down 14 points.

He does not have the speed. If you don't have the speed, at least protect the football. I believe Johnson won the job as a walk-on. Which is fine, you need possession receivers and he has shown pretty reliable hands. However, there is a lack of speed on the entire roster including all the skill positions, which is extremely concerning and reflects poorly on recruiting in a state loaded with speed. Tristan Payton is supposed to have speed, but we haven't seen him in the open field much and now he's injured.

Letting up is a lack of discipline on his part. Is he slow??? Too slow to be the go to guy on the team we want to be. Lots of catches and yards. We need TDs. Check some of this weekend highlights and you will see fast. Not just in P5

Tristan isn't that fast on paper, however he apparently plays fast. Can't wait to see it. True high school stud. UF and SoCal wanted him badly

Yep...after we get a new coach, UCF has got to start recruiting Florida as well as Georgia and focus on speed....then give the speedy guys the football....it's not hard to do but GOL obviously can't figure it out....

He's slow. Turned on the game right about this time and saw that mess. Calling out players, yada yada...give him credit for the work he's done, but he shouldn't be in a speed position on a D-1 team. He was hustling as much as he could and still got smoked. Been way too many years since I was a track dude, but "you can't coach speed".

I've turned from frustrated resignation to anger that it's gotten to this point and that the issues have been so obvious before this with recruiting, Key's performance before the promotion, let alone making him OC and even calling him the HCIW, and so many other. That GOL couldn't peg Key after all the years together is a total blow. Like already mentioned, coach needs to be "Bowdened" and recognized for what he's done, but the party is over.

He is slow but even worse has no awareness, that's like a kid who has never been in the open field before. I realize he is a walk-on, but wow, that was just horrible.
