Was P6 a success then?

Possibly but maybe the reason that Cincy ultimately got in was due to the fact they along go with us and Houston are going to the big 12. Plus a lot of crazy had to happen. I still think the B12 invite has a lot to do with it.

someone else said that as well. I agree the perfect storm had to happen but the AAC had to be in position to take advantage of the opportunity

Cincinnati only gets in if the top ACC, Big 12, PAC 12 teams have 2+ losses and Notre Dame is beaten by that same team. It was indeed the perfect storm for Cinci.

Everything except for the part about Aresco helping. He just happens to be the commish. He did nothing to help his conference, therefore all the good programs are leaving.
He should have been more vocal for us especially the second undefeated season and the way the committee was playing games.

Yes the P6 was a massive success. It said to the Cartel, no we won't sit in the back of the bus. We will not be relegated as 2nd class citizens.

We must never UCForget where we came from and the struggle to get where we are. UCF is the Champion on Change

Big success, sent a team to a NY6 bowl 6 out of the 8 years of its existence....clearly more than the G5 schools.
No. 66% of undefeated teams were left out of CFP. No P5 team has ever been left out of playoff with 0 losses. Not sure how many 1 loss teams have been left out. Probably less than 66%.

I believe the the primary goal of P6 was to get us the best shot at the NY6 bowl every year....which became true, our 2 loss conference champ would always be rated higher than any other G5 1 loss champ.

Yeah, our 2018 team was screwed.....but then again how much chance would we have with Mack at QB anyway?

That’s not P6. That’s we are better than the rest of the clowns. P6 means you are on even ground. 90% of time we weren’t on even ground.

yea and 0% of G5 teams are throwing around 110 million dollar contracts and buying 6 million dollar homes just for a guy to coach at their school. they AREN'T on even ground. This season the big boys made some titanic moves and threw their weight around to show just how serious this football game is.

Absolutely! People like to hate on Aresco but I've always been a fan. Has he always done things perfectly? No, but nobody's perfect. He's always been in a tough spot, trying to build up his conference but not totally offend ESPN and have it backfire in his face. I'm glad for him that Cincy got in.

The comments to Kirk's tweet shows that most everyone hates the rigged system.
I noticed that too. Even other media members (who I'm sure aren't employed by ESPN).

Kerbstreit is being disingenuous with this tweet. Acting like he thinks this year is the same as 2018, 2017, and earlier.

I'm glad people are calling him out on this. You can't proclaim that you love the sport as much as he does and yet be okay with the fact that all these teams competing at the top level of the sport have absolutely zero realistic shot at a national championship when the season begins. Keep fighting the good fight Tim Brando.
