This seems like a cooler question. when you guys are washing the arsehole in the shower, do you use a rag, doily or just let your fingers get rid of any leftovers?

Just spread, throw some body wash slightly above, and let gravity do the work.

I know a guy who washed his ass every day with the same rag he used for the rest of his body. Utterly disgusting.

I like to just rub the bar of soap up and down in the crack first then repeatedly rinse using water pressure to do the rest
