Please excuse the bragging but wanted to share my son's band with the board. They're the Tone Deaf Pedestrians and include Ryder on keyboard (11), Harper on drums and backup vocals (13), my son Jake lead guitar and lead vocals (13) and Gavin on bass (15). They all take lessons at The Groove Shack in Satellite Beach - Jake and Harper were in the same class in 5th grade and wanted to join up with a couple other kids from Groove Shack to start a band and that's how they all got together. They've been playing together a little over two years now and are sounding really good! (In my totally unbiased opinion...)
They mostly cover 90's rock (Smashing Pumpkins, Green Day, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Rage Against the Machine) and do some older stuff too (Zeppelin, Beatles, Black Sabbath) as well as two originals so far. They won a battle of the bands contest a couple weeks ago and the main prize is a day in studio to have one of their original songs professionally recorded which should be coming up soon. As a person who really enjoys music but is not musically talented I'm blown away by these kids.
They are opening a music festival tomorrow night 4/9 at Intracoastal Brewery in Eau Gallie, the event starts at 4 and they go on at 5 if anyone is interested.
Last shameless plug before a few songs - they are on Facebook, IG, YouTube @tonedeafpedestrians if anyone wants to check them out or come see a show. They're mostly on the Space Coast and have a bunch of shows coming up the next few months.
Thanks for indulging this proud Dad!
