The Red Hats were aghast at the national security hole created by Clinton's private email server during her days as Secretary of State. But somehow it's "yawn" time when everybody in the Trump family -- including Donald himself -- have used unsecured cellphones and other family members have used public communications software and private emails to speak with foreign leaders. What's wrong with this picture?

Just yesterday, we heard how the Trump Administration screwed around with the whistleblower who revealed that TWENTY-FIVE White House staffers were denied security clearances only to have Trump turn around and demand they be granted them anyway. Let me guess: another "yawner," right guys?

Oh, and let's not forget that this national security whistleblower was suspended without pay for two weeks when the word got out AND once she was forced to be reinstated, the woman, who suffers from dwarfism, had all of her security files refiled in shelves out of her reach. When it comes to behaving like a total a-hole, that act has to get an A+ rating.

And let's not forget the security breach that just took place at Mar-a-Lago. Hell, a Chinese national talked her way past security and would have gotten in if not for a hotel receptionist (who was not security) who knew that the United Nations Chinese American event the woman claimed to be attending was not on the hotel's event schedule.

The incredibly laissez-faire way the Trump Administration handles security should be a concern of all Americans, be they Republican, Democrat, or Independent. Or is all this stuff 'nothing to see' compared to Hillary's private email server?

trump is not the first president to get people that the doj didnt want to grant security clearances and he wont be the last.

ive covered my feelings on the personal phone use and classified information in the other thread.

i wasnt aware it was trumps fault a chinese national tried to break into maralago. i would put that blame on secret service, but thats me.

Yeah, let's shrug it off with a casual, "B-B-But THEY did it too."

I wasn't aware that I said it was Trump's fault. It was entirely a Secret Service screw-up. But to be fair to them, it's tough trying to 'secure' a luxury hotel where the wealthy elite come in hopes of 'rubbing elbows' with the President.

I like how you turn everything into into "see Hillary isn't corrupt". Hillary really went out of her way with the private bathroom server. What's app could be used for basic logical conversations.

Everyone at that level needs to be under the most strict standards.

No, it's not. This is just made up bullshit yet again. The Secret Service secure luxury hotels around the entire world, every time a President travels and takes up residence in that hotel when they're in a foreign city. They know exactly what they're doing with securing hotels and they've been doing it as a science for decades and decades.

And I'm sure that when Trump is in Mar A Lago, he's not hanging out at the lobby bar on his own or taking the main guest elevator to get to his residence.

This was a fake news story? Damn it. It sure READ like a real security breach. Sorry, my bad.

Knowing exactly what luxury hotel where the US President regularly stays DOES complicate security a bit. If you doubt it, just ask any former secret service agent.

I’d say it is a credit to the hotel’s overall security policy, procedures, and condition that a hotel receptionist was trained and empowered to stop this threat. If you’ve ever worked in a secure facility, or even any facility with FOUO, CUI, or any of the other not-classified but still sensitive information, you’ll have had the training and seen the posters and you’d know that security is much more than the people at the security desk.

No sh*t. That receptionist literally saved the day. However, it doesn't say much about the Security Officers who escorted this lady to the verge of making it 'inside.'
