And there's even an official position: "Left Out"
Also, 12 men on the field is only "illegal" if the refs catch it. Several games have been decided when they didn't.
Finally, Baylor had semi-illegal offensive formations with receivers almost off the playing field (versions of the "lonesome end" formation)
