Both AP and Coach poll keep Cinci in top 4 in defiance of the CFP. Last week Cinci was ranked #6 in CFP. #3 in CFP Michy-State lost.

Do they move Cinci up to #5 or did they hit their glass ceiling at #6?

2nd poll: cfp top ten:

1 Georgia
2 Bama
3 Oregon
4 Ohio State
5 Cincinnati
6 Michigan
7 Michigan State
8 Oklahoma
9 Notre Dame
10 Oklahoma state

Michigan over MSU is a slap in the face, even with the loss to Purdue.

The real reason for that is so they can put ND ahead of Cincy even though Cincy beat them.
I think that is a stretch for the reasoning, more logical would be that winner of Ohio State/Michigan (if ohio state beats Michigan State) will be a virtual lock for the playoffs. It keeps the two biggest B10 teams available to make it.

ND schedule will keep them from getting into playoffs.

Oklahoma looks to be getting the shaft...
Oklahoma will climb if they finish out, but so far their best win is over a 6-3 Kansas State team. and they have struggled against almost every team including Tulane and Kansas. They are almost exactly like Cincinnati, except Cincinnati at least has a win over ND.

Oklahoma gets the benefit of having a 2 loss Baylor and 1 loss Oklahoma St in the top 13 to boost them while a 1 loss Houston is no where to be found.

Oklahoma might squeeze into the 4th spot and then get rolled by Georgia.

I think they were all shocked Cincinnati moved up to 5 but didn't want to come across that way. It was kinda like ho-hum, everyone moves up a slot since MSU lost, but I gotta believe they were really surprised since Cincinnati didn't look great.

Kinda wonder if all the backlash finally got to the committee members and they were finally like, OK, we'll do what the masses want to shut people up. lol

CINCY will NOT be in the final 4. It's impossible with their schedule and hopefully will add to the case of expanding the CF Playoffs so ALL P5 conferences get into the playoffs in the future. We know if they expanded the CFP to 8 teams that UCF or CINCY (P6) teams would still get left out. At least we don't have to worry about that after next year if they expand the playoffs.

Well it's hard to have a strong schedule when the CFI even rigs that against you. 8-1 Houston ranking #17 in other polls and not ranked by CFI is pretty blatant.

Hence the term “Prop 25 List” instead of Top 25.
